So we're going to see our first venue on Sunday, a beautiful 17th century barn, owned by a charity, and I have no idea what sort of questions to ask!!!
We know the hire fee and that they don't provide on site catering but that is about it!!
Would really appreciate any ideas xx

How many people the venue can hold? Accommodation on site/near by for you and guests? Bar prices? What time the venue/evening comes to a close? Generally what they include as places can include linens/cutlery etc sometimes even centre pieces and flowers for decoration

No problem, I remember when we went venue looking we had no idea what to ask lol! So was trying to rack my brain after our first venue viewing of what we asked/thought we should have asked and we quite often ended up emailing them our questions lol.

Yeah. I didnt know where to start, but have started writing a list. I don't think they have a bar on site so I'd have to hire one in. Got about ten questions so far, the poor will be bombarded haha x
When can you start setting up? What is the deposit and cancelation policies? Are there noise restrictions/nearby residences or businesses that may be disturbed by a late night party? Are there enought accessable bathrooms for guests or do you need to bring in portable facilities? Are there restrictions on time and length of event? If your also hsving cetemony there : how long dies it take to convert the space from ceremony to reception!

seeming as they don't provide catering also ask where the caterers set up, and if there is any equipment they will/can provide?
