well i thought i'd made my mind up on La Rejouissance from Music for the Royal Fireworks (Handel) but then I noticed that our string quartet play Right here waiting for you - i listened to it on youtube this morning and I think I love it! I know there will be no words, but most people will recognise the song and I just think its really appropriate. What do you ladies think?

I have no idea as to what to walk down the aisle to :( I've even got a harp player who is willing to learn whatever I want, I just don't know what!! :/ I thought about "the story" cuz it's just plain lovely, but it's mostly cool because it's got little rocky bits of guitar in it, and otherwise I'm not very sappy or sentimental when it comes to music :/

Wonderful tonight - played by the vitamin string quartet - honestly, they are amazing! Give it a listen.
We're using them for all songs - signing if register -IRIS and Leaving SWEET CHILD OF MINE.

Argh I havnt a clue. There is only three of us walking down the aisle and its not very long. I know Lily Allen who'd have known has to be in the wedding somewhere as its the story of how we got together. At least I have a while to decide what.

I didn't want anything with religious connotations, even though we're marrying in a chapel there's be very little religious elements to the service, then I heard "Down to the River to Pray" by Alison Krauss. It quite literally gives me goosebumps, and my mum said it made her feel tingly. It's in little verses/chorus and the timing is perfect to get my girls and myself down the aisle. Each verse is about 25 seconds, so it can be faded at at any time once we're ready to start.

OMG mrsross2b - I wanted Angry Anderson - Suddenly (in fact I still might change at the last minute) but decided to go with a more celtic feel to the ceremony so Bm's and pageboys are being piped in to Highland Cathedral and then Im coming in to Love of a Princess. we are being piped out to Mhairis Wedding.

we chose our wedding singer when we saw her sing beyonces 'ave maria' and it bought a lump to both our throats,but again,its a civil ceremony so we cant have it at the ceremony.we either have to have it sang at another part of the day or choose something else.not sure what to do...bit of a dilemma..
on a lighter note,i am an adam ant fan and would love to walk down the aisle doin the 'prince charming' to MY prince charming,but not sure i will have the nerve!!!bridesmaids wont co-operate either!!lol!

I personally love Heart Song by Johnathan Firey, but my h2b prefers butterfly waltz. Always had my heart set on Canon in D but feel this is now a very popular song an I would like something a bit different! Can't believe how mny different ideas are on here though - definately food for thought!
