We've noticed that the 'traditional' favourite wedding month of August is much less popular now. We have dozens of customers getting married this weekend and its been our busiest May ever.
We think May is the best month for several reasons - Its almost always nice weather in May Prices for honeymoons care much cheapoer than in August There are some gorgeous flowers at reasonable prices
I hope this isn't breaking any rules but I also wanted to congratulate all 69 couples who are getting married this weekend using smooch wedding rings.
So - what do you think - is May a good choice? If not when do you think is the best time of year for a wedding?

i think it is a good choice as the last few may's have been such nice weather! but i am getting married in july!

We would have chosen may but it is a bad month for me tbh. I dont think it matters what month you get married in really, depends on what you want from your day. I am happy with our choice of march, and my sis is marrying this october. Congratulations for all those marrying in may though, and any other time of the year :D

We are getting married in Sept as it is out of the normal wedding season and easier to get suppliers but at the same time the weather is usually pretty good.
Personally i dont think there is a BEST month as i feel its down to personal choice!
I first got married in june and this time round will be in november............all depends on the couple in question in my opinion

H2b's sister got married in May last year and it chucked it down.... and my bday is the 26th and I've never had nice weather (fingers crossed for this yr though) x I'm getting married in July x
Now Mrs Cobb!!!!!! :-D

I ended up with July, partly due to my sister who was coming back with her family from Doha at that time and I didn't want to have my wedding without her there and partly cause my parents also got married the same month and finally cause it suited us. xx
26th December 2007 - the day I met my special man

We've picked Novemeber. H2b popped the question on Christmas Day and we both love Christmas time but knew it would be a nightmare getting the time off work over that period. That and everyone else has quite a bit of expense and stress around Christmas without a wedding to think about. So we picked last weekend of November to help start the Christmas celebrations and build up x

We've picked April. We originally wanted May but our venue was all booked up and April is £2400 cheaper than June (although they've now extended their peak season to include April). It's also one of the driest months in Perthshire and the weather has been glorious through April this year. Fingers crossed it's just as nice next year.

We chose August - but that because I work in a school and if we wanted a honeymoon we had to get married in the school holidays. We could have done it in any other school hols (maybe easter) but we also wanted more of a guarantee for hotter weather, so August it was.
CommentAuthorsuzky123
yep i noticed first few weeks in may are nice.... except this year... we have aprils showers now if we look at this year lol. We chose Aug as I teach so kind of the only option if we wanted a honeymoon too

Judging by the number of people who have rsvp'd to say they can't come cos they've only been invited to one other wedding this year but it's also on the 30th July I would have to say July is pretty busy. If I wasn't a teacher I propbably wouldn't have chosen the school summer hols to get married and have a honeymoon as it is tres expensive! x
