I'd wear anything but fushia so you don't look like a wannabe BM (unless you are a Bm!)

...I *think* as long as your dress isn't too 'fleshy' for the day a cocktail one is grand...especially if you team it with a pashmina say..I put a link on your page...

Just a note - it's frowned upon to wear the same colour as the bride too, so avoid anything too light in colour like cream or a light silver etc.

If you look at the flower fuschia it shows that lavender would go with it as this is usually the second colour featured on the flower. Fuschia also goes well with green, yellow, orange and navy. Good luck Lemon finding something that suits.x

Dont know if its your style but I think this dress I found, the colours are fab and would go well with fuschia and the dress I could imagine would suit you with your long dark hair. Its also at a fab price. Have a wee look at the link posted on your wall and dont worry Lemon if you dont like it, im not a dress wearer myself so may be barking up the wrong tree. xx

Lemon, I'm wearing jeans and a nice top to my sisters wedding (not to sound big headed cause i'm not, but I don't want to outshine her) She's just having a cheapo wedding in a cheapo grotty pub, in cheap cheapcheapady cheap town centre!! yukky! :P lol.. I'm allowed to pick on her, she's a moo! She's wearing a second hand prom dress.. No WAY can I look any worse than that is I dress up!! (she's short and a little stumpy, whereas i'm tall and leggy (if I were to stand at least, which likeliness is I wont)) x

Lol, Well a pretty cocktail dress sounds cool, Maybe if it is a little on the short side then you could get some patterned tights to go with it.. I personally love that look! x
CommentAuthorCeCe
Careful Roxii ..tall and leggy can and does turn into tall and stumpy!!!
lol
CommentAuthorCeCe
Ooooh Lemon..according to your meal price per head accounting we too am having a 'posh posh posh' wedding...ooooh get me!!
;)
CommentAuthorRoxii
:P lol. I know, i'm not really thin, I just carry my weight well and have pretty nice legs. And I'm not trying to say i'm better for it, I just don't like her, she's getting married purely to beat me down the aisle as she feels that older siblings should marry first.. V. Stupid move on her part, as she's been with her fiance just a couple of months and they've split up at least 3 times in that time. So she's making a HUGE mistake!! Ahh well, if I tell her she'll be stubborn enough to marry him even if she doesn't want to by then! x
CommentAuthorCeCe
Roxii...let her be bitter when she weds in cheaptackyville and you don't ... let her do her thing, with whatever ideas she has in her head...she will have to fix her mistakes hun..you, smile and rise above her and learn by her mistakes x
;)

I know, I just get a bit P*ssed that everytime I have something, she has to try and out-do me.. (even if she is under-doing this one :P lol) Anyway sorry for hijacking your thread lemondrops :P lol.. You can have it back now *passes lemondrops her thread back* here you go, haha x
CommentAuthorCeCe
Sure lemon understands hun x
I understand re the 'out-doing' too - more than you know..but, there comes a time when you have to learn to 'let it go' the person looking like a competitor is HER not you and remember if you see what she is doing then others will too..don't do something that makes you BOTH look like a pair of jealous siblings!
Be the classy sister..with the good legs ;) x

Yeah, that's what we're gunna do, have a fancy wedding in a big posh hotel, i'm even giving her an outfit to wear so she looks the part at my wedding (her wardrobe is somewhat "chavvy") I'm having bridesmaids, a pretty engagement ring, nice wedding ring, Wedding breakfast, Honeymoon, and we're saving for it all ourselves (unless people offer to pay for things, I'd accept that as a nice gesture, but if someone offered us money i'd ask them to pay for/buy something with it, as I hate accepting money).. And she's got a budget of £250ish.. And they're not having any of the above! x
CommentAuthorCeCe
lololol Roxii - God love you ((((((((Roxii)))))))) you have so made me chuckle!!!! But STOP Gloating!!!!!

i know its not traditional wedding, BUT grey looks amazing with fushia, and bright green, so you could always buy a nice, longish soft grey dress, and wear it with a green belt/pashmina/hat/shoes or somthing, and then change colour accent for other events. The blessing of grey is that it goes well with alot of bright colours, and be worn, reworn, have a belt added to it, and worn again. Another option is a funky trouser suit, again, a soft/light grey would be beautiful if accented with a contrasting colour [like green of purple] and this could be done with a coloured silk blouse, or shoes. Nail varnish is avalible in 1,000 colours too, so adding that will brighten up any outfit. Don't forget that any staple colour [grey, black, white, etc] can make 100 different outfits with different shoes/handbags/nails.
good luck, and have a FANTASTIC time shopping :D <3 x
