All You Need is Love - The Beatles (I think)
I'm hoping that the bridesmaids and flowergirls can walk down to Highland Cathedral and then surprise people with the sudden change to something totally different.
CommentAuthorFass
I'm walking down to 'I wanna grow old with you'. (From the film, wedding singer). It's one of our fav comedy film's and the lyrics describe just how we feel about each other. Plus we wanted something a little different

Eric Clapton - Wonderful tonight :) Rich's brother is playing it on his guitar and singing it xx
A piece of classical music called 'the swan' from carnival of the animals. Chris suggested either the Jaws theme tune or the music that Darth Vadar has in Star Wars. That would be pretty funny :)

I think I'm having Here Comes the Bride - but we need to sort music yet (and it's getting close lol).
CommentAuthorEnny
not decided yet but I think I wanna walk down the aisle to -Canon-from Pachabel but I'm trying to get a piano player organized for the day :)
CommentAuthorzowie
I have been discussing this with H2B this afternoon and I can't decide on music either. I am swaying towards here comes the bride for the entrance to keep it traditional and I always imagined walking down the aisle to that. Just need to find it on CD though. Have decided to walk out to Love Changes everything by Andrew Lloyd Webber as I love musicals and that is a particular favourite of mine. Now need to find an hours worth of music to place while the guests arrive and 10 minutes while I sign the register, this in gonna be the difficult thing I think x
CommentAuthorweemindyxx

I think I'm having a piano piece by Ludovico Einaudi - I absoutely love both playing and listening to his music so its seems perfect for me :o) Just haven't decided which one yet xx
CommentAuthorPapillonEmma
At the moment Im thinking of the blowers daughter Damien rice. I just love the part which goes "I just cant take my eyes off of you" and I want my h2b to see me for the first time in my dress at those words. Il probably change my mind by the wedding though.
CommentAuthorClareS
We've no idea, at one point we were thinking of van morrisons 'have I told you lately that I love you' but there's one or two mentions of heaven in there so the registrar might not go for it. We can't think of anything other than that. As it's a civil wedding in a hotel the 'here come's the bride' doesn't go well in the room (as it doubles up for conferences etc during the week), unless we have a band etc play it, but hadn't really accounted for the cost. we'll still probably de deciding a few days before the event lol

Aw Emma I love that song it gets me every time I love Damien Rice

I've got Nickelback - Far Away, the instrumental version. I love that song but it's not got the right lyrics for us so chose the instrumental version instead.
I can't believe we've actually done it

CommentAuthorClareS
ooo Mara we love Nickleback, we were going to have one of theirs for our first dance but we've chosen Metallica's Nothing Else Matters
CommentAuthormrs-mumford-2-be
the O'Neil brother do CD's of instrumental wedding music. Canon in D is on there, along with the bridal march, and Shania Twains from this moment!! I'm thinking i'm either walking in to the bridal march or cannon in D and we'll walk out together to the instrumental version of From this moment.
I always imagined we'd have From this moment as our first dance song, but we've chosen I do by 45 degrees, words are so apt!
CommentAuthorMrsSaraParry!
oooooh I've just rediscovered something i love! Am seriously tempted to have this now - Karl Jenkins, 'Benedictus' from The Armed Man. Its instrumental for the first 3 minutes and is gorgeous, makes me fill up just listening to it. This was the first piece I ever played in the youth orchestra I was in, it was our first concert and on my dad's birthday - he'd really been looking forward to seeing me in it, he was so proud, and he died 3 weeks before. I think I've just made my decision, what do you ladies think? xx

I want "Hello" by Evanescence played on a harp, but no one has ever done it on a harp it seems so I might find it hard! I've found a harpist in France who's GRAND, but not sure I can convinve her to make the trip, or the h2b to pay for it! lol

Aw, "Hello" such a beautiful song! It would sound beautiful on a harp- good luck!
We're having Abigail's Song by Katherine Jenkins (yes, the one she sang in the last Doctor Who Christmas Special). While the guests are being seated and after the registry, we're having Canon in D for a bit of traditionalism. And while we're signing the registry, we're having "Good Enough" by Evanescence and "Rising Sun" by Nightwish.
CommentAuthorFass
Jodie b, we're having some of the tracks from the film played through out the night too. We are quite light hearted people. That also one reason we chose it. H2b wants to walk out to another one bites the dust.....

Oooo I *love* "Hello" by Evanescence, and I've even got the sheet music for it, but it's such a sad song, I'd be in tears for all the wrong reasons if I had that at the wedding - hehe.
Music is the one big thing we still haven't decided on. I have a few ideas, but I can't settle on anything. I want Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol somewhere in there, but I can't decide whether to have that as first dance, one of the walking in/out tracks, or while signing the register.
"Of course I'm not wedding obsessed!!"
CommentAuthorAtaraxia
I am having a song by a band called Explosions in the Sky. The song I've chosen is called 'Your Hand in Mine' which is around 8 minutes long... I think 8 minutes is a long long song, but lucky for me, they made two other versions of the same song, one with an orchestra added in, at only 4 minutes and also a 2 minute long version without the strings background. When we rehearse, we're going to see which version will fit the entrace best! We are also using most of their album (with a few other songs) as background music when guests are being seated and during the ceremony!
Got married 27th June and blessed on July 5th 2012

we have a group of female singers for the whole of the ceremony and I am going to walking down the aisle to them singing "Heaven" by DJ Sammy, its beautiful and i think it will be even nicer having the singers, i so cannot wait for the day, but i think i will be crying before i even get to the end of the aisle :) x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August

We have a pianist hired for the day and he will be playing 'iris' by goo goo dolls for the aisle . its an emotional song for me anyway, so goodness knows what illl belike on the day!!
CommentAuthorAnnette
Faeth, ooooh do you?! I think I'd need the sheetmusic to be able to make someone do it on harp. I had a guitarbook filled with Evanescence songs, but not quite sure where it is as I moved countries and so have boxes a bit here and there! :/ I really like the instrumental of it, the lyrics never really made sense to me lol even though I've been told what it's about, it still just sounds jumbled up to me.
