I am gonna join one too so any help you ladies have would be helpfull xxx

I lost over a stone in 5 weeks through Weight Watchers, however my H2B's Dad has lost 4 1/2 stone in a year through Slimming World. Just depends on whether you like to count points (WW) or work with Synns and coloured days (SW) They both have success stories, and are pretty similar, so it's which ever one suits you.
After I've had my baby (due on Sunday!) I'll be going back to Weight Watchers, mainly because I've got all the info. However there's nothing like a bit of exercise to compliment these eating plans!! And with Weight Watchers you can eat more food if you exercise!!!
Good luck x
CommentAuthorcaza
i would say slimming world defiantely. i have done both in the past. but sw is easier. ww is about portion size, but with sw you can eat 10 steaks if you like and its all free points. there are 3 options on sw, so if your a veggie you can do it, if you really like meat then you can do it, or even if your pregnant you can do it. there are no food restrictions.
i started back at sw this week.
Good Luck with wichever u choose xx

I would say weight watchers, it is working well for me. I have heard a few people cant get their heads around the whole red day green day thing with slimming world, but hey everyone's different, so one might suit you more than the other, why dont u try one for a couple of months then if its not working try the other? x
CommentAuthorohfiddles
is there anyway to get a simple list of how many points each food is, without signing up? xx
CommentAuthorsoon-to-be-mitchell
Hey ohfiddles I found this page. Its a weight watches calculator, if your eating a meal with the nutritional value on it eg cereal etc you can check the points on the calculator. It also has a list of point for certain foods and how many points you should eat to lose weight. I have posted the link on you wall :-)
CommentAuthorohfiddles
ohhh cheers hun xx
CommentAuthorohfiddles
ahhh i am terrible i just had 12 points for lunch. i am only allowed about 23 points per day Woops lmao
CommentAuthorNicci
PMSL! I dread to think how many points ive had! :( x
CommentAuthorohfiddles
all i had was cheese ham and onion salad, and a pack of walkers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! milk is gonna be the bain of my existance if i go for ww as i have to have whole milk, the rest is just white water lol xxx
CommentAuthorlittle miss red head
I used to do Slimming World and I lost just under 3 stone on it, I've just started Rosemary Conley and I am finding it really difficult to count calories etc but don't want to give up just yet! But if I do I'll be going back to SW

Weight Watchers worked for me so well after I had my daughter 7 years ago. It's a really easy system. Also have you ever thought about Gillian McKeith- 'you are what you eat' you know the poo lady off the telly lol. Honestly I did that a few years ago and it worked so well, you can eat all the time if you want, I felt great as I wasn't given the choice to eat a chocolate bar or something. I know it's strict but my skin was glowing, had loads of energy and ate so much different foods and lost weight. It's only hard as you haven't got anyone weighing you every week and checking up on you x
CommentAuthorb2bnicola
I muchly prefer Slimming World :) You can eat as much as you want of things where as with Weight Watchers your more restricted plus you have to weigh and measure a lot of things - with Slimming world uv only gotta measure ur healthy extras which is like milk, cheese etc
Ive lost 6lbs in 5 weeks with slimming world as im not sticking to it 100% but my h2b has lost 1 stone 1lbs in 3 weeks!
xx

Mara does your mum attend meetings while doing the online weight watchers? I want to lose weight but i went to slimming world before and i felt really intimidated surrounded by strangers that i didnt go back. I have a thing about being in a room with complete strangers and no one talks to you and they look at you funny lol. xx

Before any change in healthy eating occurs your HEAD has to be in the right 'place' ... if not you WILL fail.
I lost stones on the Lighter Life Diet..abstained from real food for WEEKS ...after all that work..I finished it and started eating again, initially as I was 'taught' but soon quickly was back to what I did before and the weight went right back on.
I (atleast) HAVE to get my head sorted re food/eating as well as doing any diet.
CommentAuthorGemstar
I'd actually recommend rosemary conley as it combines healthy eating with exercise (aerobics at the weigh in each week). It's also a lot easier to follow than colour themed days and points counting but depends what works for you x

I have done both and they both have their merits. I found SW really good for having a good deal of food, but after a few weeks I was a bit sick of eggs, potatoes, pasta, and beans. I have just lost my first stone with Weight Watchers. I found it a bit hard at first but I find I can have more variety and now I'm really used to it. xxx
CommentAuthorSuzie Bear
I've lost 6.5 stone on WW and find it a way of life now. BUT it wasn't always like that. Once u get ur head around the points and understand that you should feel hungry b4 each meal to enjoy it and u are determined then it starts to work. The good thing is u can save up points and eat anything you fancy within restrictions.
SW is good too- My cousin lost a good 12 stone on it but once she came off the plan she put three quarters back on!!! You never have to feel hungry on SW so thats a bonus!
Which one did u decide on?
is Mrs Suzie Bear!!!!
Gotta be pink!!! :0)
I think I blinked and missed our wedding!! lol

Congratulations Natalie! I just lost 3lb today taking me to 1st 0.5lb loss.
I think WW and SW both have a really good amount of leeway - nothing is forbidden, which is generally the downfall of people on diets!
CommentAuthorMrs Steer
well done Possum its a good day i need that 3lb to get a stone if not next week def week after :) wooooooooohoooooooo

Couldn't you mix them up a little - stick to the Slimming World diet but eat Weightwatchers stuff when you fancy it.
None of the WW Belgium Chocolate Eclairs for me though I pig out on the whole pack they're that good!
The days are flying by, can't wait :)
