i would say f you are on a budget h samuel will be your best bet they will still last as and be strong. if you have them made they can be heavyer and stronger but lots more money x x

There is a company called Smooch Rings who come to your home with rings and ideas. I randomly got an email from them but I actually know 2 couples who used them & highly recommended them so think we will try them too x

I got an email from smooch the other day and think i will get our rings from there. They do some really nice ones plus they mix n match too which is good for us as we want same design but h2b wants gold and il have white gold to match my engagement ring :)

i was on another forum at one point and back april/may time there were horror stories about the rings turning up and being the total opposite of what was ordered, people couldnt get hold of customer services or they were taking too long to deliver and i hear dsomeone got their rings a few weeks before the wedding and it was all wrong.
please be careful with them..yes there's been good stories as well but just watch out hun xx

I got mine from H samuels but we ordered the extra heavy weight and the super extra heavy weights. They do 10% off if you ask them even if you didn't buy the engagement ring from them.

mine comes from Preston's of Bolton (got my engagement ring there) his will come from Christopher Hart
The reason for different stores is they were the rings that just took our fancy straight out, so other rings couldn't compare.
The days are flying by, can't wait :)

I'd say have alook for a local family run jewellers. They are often the best quality and the service surpasses the High Street stores IMHO :-)

H2b wants a fairly plain titanium one, which is fine by me. I'm having a platinum one, and am saving Tesco clubcard vouchers cos you get 4 times the value at Goldsmiths.

I got mine from an online jewellers and I loved it and it was much less than high street. Went to the same place to get Turps ring, and its been a right pain in the a*se, wouldnt use them again after the hassle they gave me this time round

I got mine, and mark got his cog wheel ring, but its a bit too fancy for a wedding ring for everyday, so he's having it as a pressie from me, and we got him a tungsten carbide one that wont scratch or break while he's working....... his hands take a beating and they're proper doirty at times..... oooooerrrrrr

I went around the whole of the birmingham jewellery quarter and found H Samuel to be the cheapest for the weight of gold we are having. It all depends on what style and metal you are having. If its plain gold bands like we are having then the high street can be cheaper for them. We are then taking them to a local jeweller to get them engraved at 60p per letter.

We got ours off Bay of E. They are a sort of titanium so have that dull efect but they have a nice design on them and we got them engraved on the inside with our pet names for each other. We got them both for no more than £100 in total including the engraving!!! Do you want the link to the seller??? xxx

Nickers I got h2b a black titanium ring (pic on profile) looks lovely less than £22 inc p&p titanium is hard wearing, like your h2b my h2b's ring would only get wrecked. Went for black titanium as it reflects his personality as hes into heavy metal etc lol

Jazz it up also do titanium ones that have roman numerals on them, of the date of your wedding. Pretty cool and very manly. Sorry didnt look at the price tho!
got distracted by the canvas art they do. You send them a photo and they blow up onto a big canvas or bit or perspex for you. Would be great for one of the "arty" wedding style photos, or a trash the dress shot. Page is now bookmarked!

Hi, i was planning on going to the jewellery quarter in bham, has anyone found any places there to be particularly good? also, i was wondering if could help me with a few questions - i have an antique cluster shaped ring that wouldnt fit above a standard wedding ring. im sure im not the only one - what have people chosen to do? i dont want a wedding ring with chunks missing from it to accommodate my engagement ring, but i dont want to confine it to a drawer forever either. do people tend to wear it on the other hand? also, ive seen a sweet ring with a row of diamonds set in it that is classed as an eternity ring. have other people had eternity rings as wedding bands? surely it doesnt really matter does it?

I got my engagement ring from the jewelry quarter in birmingham, the shop were great and they dip it for free to shine it up whenever I pop in for nothing!
We went there for wedding rings and the white gold ones we wanted from there came to about 500, we priced the same spec up in H.Samuel for about 380 then were recomended an online jeweler so as we knew exactly what we wanted and our sizes we ordered from them....exactly the same spec, (had hallmark checked) with engraving for 180 for both!!! Also come in really beautiful wooden boxes.
When you place your order the company send you a disposable ring sizer to double check size but they also offer a 14 day money back guarantee. We had our rings about 10 days after returning ring sizer so about 14 days in all.
Ill post the name of the company and the jewelry quarter shop for those with a bigger budget on my wall xxx

If you want something hand made then I would say go to the jewellery quarter in brum. If you want a plain band then we found that they are not the cheapest for weight and it worked out better going to h samuels then going to an independent to have them engraved. When you go shopping for you ring make sure you ask them for the price and the weight of gold you get for that as it will help you work out what is the best price.

H Samuel have a lovely range and SOOOO much cheaper than i'd thought they'd be. much cheaper than i've seen anywhere else and i like that you can pay a deposit and then just go in and pay things as you have the money after that so it's not a big lump sum you have to find x

We collect clubcard vouchers but was going to change them into airmiles. We bought my engagement ring at goldsmith and were going back there for the wedding rings but never knew they were in the clubcard deals.
Very very happy now as have £30 of vouchers here that haven't converted yet.
