Thanks LittleMissBossy! It's such a great song, I think it's perfect for a wedding. We did originally want a Depeche Mode song called Somebody as we love them and the lyrics suit us down to a T. The problem is its very slow and hard to dance to. I think God Only Knows is more suitable.

I recently found our perfect song. It hasn't been released in the uk yet but you google it you might find it on a famous video clip site! Its by Jason mraz and its called I wont give up.... I felt tingles down my spine when I first heard it! Its fairly long, about 4 mins but it so worth a listen too if you get time!

We are between 'God only knows' by the Beach Boys as its the nearest thing we have to 'a song' and 'Moon River' from Breakfast at Tiffanys as we got engaged on the steps of Tiffanys so it brings back lots of memories.Is it ok to have two songs do you think or is that just excessive-they are both quite short lol! xxx

I would start with the slowest (Moon River) and then break onto God only knows, then guests would feel more like dancing on something a little upbeat, but it is your day and your choice. I don't think that having two dances is too much

lysblanc you're having the theme I wanted but H2B said he wouldn't turn up if I did (he hates Disney) our first dong was settled within hours of him popping the question Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars (they were the first gig we went to together so has meaning for us) just can't decide whether or not to do a waltz type dance to it or just a normal smoochy dance I will be dancing to Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight with my dad (I used to fall asleep on his belly to it when I was really little - it's been our song ever since) I think what ever song you chose it should mean something to you regardless of the lyrics or tempo.

We've picked one that no-one will think of ha ha - not telling anyone either as we want to surprise people. It will be a shock too as H2B is known for NOT dancing and it does require some specific moves lol. Can't wait. Will have to get practising though...eek
Our second dance is Beautiful Day by U2 though and our final song of the evevning will be Elbow, One Day Like This. Love it.

Princesspixie we nearly choose chasing cars to. It reminds us of one of our early dates together, waiting in a random carpack waiting for a box to fall out if the sky with a camera attached (it was a mad project to capture the curve of the eath!) We're not sure if we're having a first dance because neither of us have a rhythmic bone in our bodies and we're bound to just spend 3 minutes falling over each other! Having said that if we do have a first dance it'll either be Elbow - One day like this or Red Hot Chili Peppers - Hard to concentrate.

We are having our our first dance too Aerosmith, 'dont want to miss a thing' beacuse Paul sings it too me in bed and makes us laugh. However we are also picking our next 10 songs... obviously for everyone to dance too but all our favourite new and old songs that mean things to us. When we meet in 2003 BabyCakes was number 1 in the charts and we were only 17 so sang it alot and our nickname for each other is babycakes so will be our number 2 song.
