Hi Ladies, haven't been on here for a while as I have been very busy but I have now booked my wedding!! We decided to book it for 14th May 2016 so a couple of months earlier than we originally planned but we wanted a meaningful date which is the 14th as it is the date we got together and we wanted a Saturday wedding so we thought we would choose it. We are getting married in our local town hall at around 5pm, then we are going on to a Crosby Lakeside Centre, which is 5 minutes away from my mum's house, it is a bit of a strange looking place but I have loved it ever since it was built a few years ago and thought it would be the perfect place for a wedding, it has views over the lake and everything we need for our perfect day! Also, a slightly unrelated thing but my mum mentioned it the other day, should I ask my dad to walk me down the aisle? I have lived with him all my life and kind of presumed he would know that I wanted him to walk me down the aisle, but my mum said that my H2B should ask him for my hand in marriage and I should ask him to walk me down the aisle? I mean I will but I kind of thought he would know already.

That looks like an amazing place for a reception. I did tell my Dad, but only because he is a Methodist minister, and there had been times when I had contemplated having him do the service. Even then though I probably would have had him walk me in. It was more a case of just clarifying what the plans were.

The location is absolutely spectacular... The reception hall looks really nice... Your day will be absolutely wonderful....
I guess its always nice to be asked i guess... you could buy him a gift and inside it could have a little placard that asks him to walk with you....

I think I would just drop it into general convosation if you think it's obvious, like say about going to organise the suits etc as you want him to have a matching suit at the groomsmen etc for waking you down the aisle
