Not sure if I'm going to have one, is anyone else? If so what size? Are you supposed to wear it down thw aisle covering your face and then just pushed back afterwards?

i tried a dress on and it looked lovely , but when she put a veil on it kind of made it!!!! It, for me, completed the dress and complimented it perfectly. As for size, i think that depends on personal choice and what looks best with the dress. Not everyone has one that covers the face as they walk down the aisle. I wouldn't because I would feel clostraphobic lol (traditionally you have it covering your face and then its pulled back when you reach the bottom of the aisle, but im not sure if it is the groom or the father of the bride that does it) xx

I believe it's the father of the bride who pulls it back because it was supposed to be the first time your groom sees you is at the altar??

I thought that traditionally you had the veil over your face until the end of the ceremony when the vicar/priest says "I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride", then the husband lifts the veil and kisses the bride :)

That said I'm hoping to have a veil but won't be wearing it over my face as we're having a civil ceremony!

In the films they always uncover the face when they reach the bottom of the aisle lol! I'm having a shoulder length one, it looks really lovely with my dress, won't be having it over my face though as i'm having my hair piled on top in curls with the veil tucked in under and behind the hair so think it would look silly with a big lump in the middle lol! I thinks it's totally the brides preference and what suits the dress whether to have one or not.

I'm not having one either, seen some beautiful ones though! I like them pinned under the hair :) Dependson the dress really, I wouldn't want a full church length veil if I had a detailed dress but it would be nice with a simple dress......oohh I think I want a veil now! lol

im going to wear a veil too and think it will be the full church length, I tried one on with my dress and it just made it as my dress is quite plain apart from a few sparkles so it really lifts it :) not wearing it over my face though as having a civil ceremony
