Well, this is all very surreal. Was grocery shopping and had call from eldest daughter, had been in a car accident on the way home from the next county with her fiancee.... car completely written off and they were very fortunate to be in one piece themselves, accident involving an icecream van, two trucks and them. She was sat in a car park waiting for the RAC flatbed truck to tow them 80 miles home. Just a bit shook up but no broken bones. Thank goodness. Then came home and was watching the news about the school trip coach up country that had been in a serious accident and I commented to my H2B how it made me feel very anxious with my 15 year old son currently in a school coach heading across Belgium for a weeks school trip. Now son has sent me a text saying his coach has just been in an accident with a car and the coach driver and car driver are out on the road head butting each other and the police have been called. Good grief. Unbelievable. They say things come in threes dont they, well I for one will NOT be going out in my car tonight! Luckily both my kids are fine but it has made me thank my lucky stars tonight......

I just want to do the mother hen thing and gather my 3 children around me now and wrap them up in cotton wool but thats silly, its just strange when they are out in the big wide world and independant and things can get to them that you have no control over. I just hope the school teachers are looking after the kids ok over in Belgium, I expect the girls on the coach were quite hysterical. My son would just have been more interested in videoing it on his mobile phone knowing him..... reporter in the making that one....
