(not sure if this comment is in the right thread but couldnt find anything to do with underwear)
    Hi ladies,
Can i ask you if you r wearing a bra on your wedding day? Are you buying the nice underwear just for after the wedding??
I have heard you cant wear bra under most of wedding dresses
    thank you

I'll be wearing foundation garments under my dress. I know a lot of people say that you don't need to wear anything because the dress is so structured. However, I think that when spending that much on a dress it's important to wear the right underwear.

I asked the bra question when I ordered my dress & I was told not to wear one. This is only because my dress is highly corseted & apparently if I wore a bra underneath the corset won't fit right.

It really depends on your style of dress I think, if mine was more loose fitting I would definitely wear a bra under it xx

I think im going 2 buy a bra and try it on with the dress at the fitting just in case. I really feel consious of people staring at me, and if i didnt have a bra on, i'd think its coz the boobies r showing.lol

For a lot of dresses a bra would be inappropriate but a basque or fitted slip would work wonders. There are a lot of options out there besides strapless bras.

I think it's best to ask the ladies in the shop what they think is right for your frame and your dress. I'm not sure either yet so just going to wait until it's arrived and i've had it fitted. If i don't need a proper bra I might buy some nice night wear rather than underwear for later on. xx

Thank you girls for the reply! I guess i have to wait untill i choose the dress to know whether i can wear bra or not under it!
I dont have a problem with that as long as the dress fits nicely ( as it should do)
Can i ask where did you buy your bridal lingerie??
    Thank you

my dress had a bit of boning in it, but I wore a bra too. At one of the fittings I did take the bra off to see if there was enough support and I could go braless on the day but somehow my FF's disappeared!

I tried my dress on Saturday and the assistant told me to take my bra off and it looked so much better as the dress had enough structure in it to push my bust up anyway. I would suggest you wait until picked your dress and see if it needs a bra or not. xx

I was told i wont need one but i am definitely going to find something to wear!! there is an official what you wearing under your dress thread somewhere on here and alot of girls are mentioning the bra of wonder...
Its personal choice really, alot of dresses come with boning / support already in and isnt a need for one, but if you feel more comfortable in one there are plenty out there!

but defo wait and see what dress you go for in the end and take it from there xx

I was going to wear one as I'm quite big on top but when I tried on my dress the boning and support worked well enough, as said above I think it just depends on the style of dress, and what you feel comfortable in.
