Just seen some lovely titanium engraved rings but I am a little wary or how long they will last. I know that a lot of body piercing jewellry is made from it because it is hypoalergenic and doesn't cause reactions like gold and silver. I wanted white gold or silver purely for the colour. What do you all think. Will it scratch? dull? I don't want to get them and then be sorry afterwards.

its mega expensive though int it. I just don't see a point in getting platinum when another metal can do the same job. x

because its hard to make the rings because most of the mechines are made out of titanium and it brakes the machines. not many jewelers do it x x x

Titanium rings seem to be a LOT cheaper than platinum rings and titanium is very hard wearing. My H2b wants a titanium ring, which suits me cos it means I can spend more on my platinum one :D

The only problem I've heard of with titanium rings is that if he were to have an accident and the ring needs to be removed, then it's so hard they wouldn't be able to cut the ring off - the finger would have to come off! So he'll just have to be careful..

Palladium is supposed to be quite durable and hard wearing - I suppose the best way to decide on the metal is to go to jewellers and ask them.

I think palladium is similar to platinum in its properties, but cheaper, cos it's not so rare..

Titanium is very hard wearing so great if he is in a manual job hun! But very difficult to engrave, the only thing they can use to engrave it is diamond!

Dodge has got a ring made from Tungsten Carbide which is even harder wearing that Titanium, it looks really nice and was only £52!!
