Asda do some traditional sweet jars with sweets inside for £2 each so you could take the sweets out and wash the jars?

i've found some lovely pedestal style bowls on the webpage for dunelm mill, maybe try them. They were incredibly cheap and there are loads of reviews from ladies who used them for sweetie buffets at weddings saying they're perfect xx

I've been collecting jars, bowls & vases from loads of places. Asda, QD, Beales Department store. Basically whenever I'm out and see something on offer I buy 1 or 2. The Range is also really good for large Martini Glasses. I really need to do a mock up and some point to see if I have too many!

I know it sounds terribly practical but when I've been buying them I've been thinking about what I can use them for afterwards.

Go to a nice cheapy pound shop then get some glass paints, you can do some gorgeous designs yourself then you know you'll have exactly what you want.
Glass painting is a hobby of mine, its very relaxing and then youve got something pretty once youre done!

I fell in love some vintage jars/vases but with them being £20 each it was kinda a no go area lol
I have found a lady who uses them tho so i'm using her instead and she's doing a mixture of desserts and sweets for me as we are having it for the evening reception and are not having a buffet only bacon rolls and mini chip cones so this will act as dessert :-)

personally I think that the ones from Asda are great simply because I will use them afterwards and if there's any left overs the lids can be put on and the sweets taken away afterwards. I'm not overdoing the sweets as I know if I've got loads left over I will put on all the weight I've been suffering in order to lose!!
