My mum and aunt are on it...and i have to say the results are amazing...they have been on it for 3 months and have lost about 4-5 stone each ! basically you have 3 shakes a day (counting as your main meals) you stay on that until you have reached your target weight and then you have your buffer zone, then after that i think they teach you what you can and cant eat and give you counselling
on eating habits and stuff....its £34 a week i think i know its pricey but its successful and quick

one thing i would warn you about is that your first 2 weeks will be the worst, as your pretty much not eating much you will get hunger pains, only thing to remedy that is to drink plenty of water to fill the void....and stay away from exercise for a while, any strenuous activity can make you dizzy or ill ( you havent taken in the necessary calories and energy) but after your body is used to the diet they tell you to go for walks or do pilates

£34 a week!!!!! Blimey!!!! I am guilty of always looking at these quick fix diets etc but my friend who works in advising people on healthy eating & fitness keeps reminding ne there is no real secret, you just need to eat healthy. I did the slimming world in the past which is the best diet for me as you are never hungry on it & it is so easy to do. I went from 11 stone done to 8 stone 4 when I first did it. Then I did it again after having my first daughter & I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight after 3 months (I had put on 3 stone) however I have been so lazy since having my second daughter but have decided today is the day I'm going to kick my a*se into gear & do something about it hence why u read this thread...but £34 just for a shake? I don''t think so, slimming world it is then & it is free as know what I have to do. Good luck to us all xxxx

Hmmm yer, well its virtually lighter life with a better price tag.
you get weighed every week and you are more than likely to lose about 6-8 pound a week, but the occasional week will be 3-4 pound.
You also get minerals and supplements to support you as you will be missing out on certain vitamins but they do look after you and make sure you are healthy.

I know for me that I really need to just do some exercise but finding the time to do it is hard with a 2 year old & a 9 mth old to look after. I looked into lighter life but besides the fact I can't afford to be paying to lose weight I didn't think I would enjoy it very much. I need to feel like I am actually eating good hence why I love s.world. I love jacket potatoes & can live on them on that diet. Thought about trying weightwatchers for a change but I can't be doing with adding points up. Why is there no such thing as a magic wand? X

I know tell me about it, i am not dieting, like EVER hahaha....
Tbh i had such a horrid eating disorder that the thought of doing that to myself again scares me into not dieting again....

i know what you mean with the kiddies though, my mum has a 4 year old (btw my mum is still young lol) and she told me that she cant find the time to do anything while shes about.

Raycheroo your right about the fainting, my mum lost 7 stone in 6 months on the cambridge diet but fainted onto the cooker hob making tea. Not worth the diet in my eyes tbh. Although i'd still do this diet as it's so sucsessful i'd jus be gutted i8f i put the weight back on.
I love my takeaways too much........ Sorry ladies i'd rather be a cuddly B2B Xx

I tried this last year and although I lost a stone in the first month, I found that I really missed food, plus when I started eating normal food, it all went straight back on within a month. I've now started seeing a dietician and with careful thought, my weight is on a loss trend - although I have also been contemplating a hypno-i-bad to speed it up - slim fast is a similar diet as is tony ferguson, which are cheaper versions and are both half price at a leading health department store.

These diets appear to be about alot of willpower (and money). I wish you well with whichever you choose, in the CD's favour, there is a good support network, as I really found I needed it - especially to get in to ketosis!

i did this diet just before xmas and mil2b is a cambridge consultant. i lost nearly 2 stone in 5 weeks but stopped for xmas and thankfully havent put any back on. i will be starting it again soon so i can go order my dress in the size that i need. it is hard but there are loads of different plans to do. if u really do want to do it best tospk to a consultant to see which plan suits u. i was on 3 packets a day (porridge, shake and soup) and a small meal of an evening. good luck hun xx

it is really hard; if you go up through the stages after your target weight it helps your body get used to more cals. I was on your plan MrsPreston2be - water's the key isn't it!! good luck with the rest of it xxx

I was on the all about w8 diet very similar to the cambridge and lighterlife diet.. thats £50 a week and you can choose if you want to have a healthy meal at night if you want think its like 3oz of protein and unlimited green veg. I lost 11lbs in one week on this diet but i felt ill as the first few weeks are the worst, I had to come off it as my daughter was only 6 months and had to keep my energy but if i stuck to it the results would have been amazing. My h2b aunt was on it and lost almost 3 stone in just over 2 months n looks amazing x x
