I used to find that on the old system too penny. I used to have a hot chocolate before bed if I had any points left that day. Not sure how the new system works so wouldn't know but they do know what they're doing so try eating all your points and see what happens. At least you won't be hungry.x

i am doing slimming world, just started doing it properly by going to a group, and i must admit i am never hungry, only my first week mind you, and i dont seem to be eating loads, just obviously the correct things, i will see what happens when i go for my weigh in on monday :) x

I am using weight loss resources on line which is great because I can input everything I eat and it works out all the cals for me plus what I have left, also exercise which is great. I now plan everything I am going to eat the night before, print it off and stick it to kitchen cupboard! then I can tick off when I have eaten it, certainly stops me from grazing!! Start weight 17st 8.5 current weight 17st 2.5 (5 days later!!!) bust 47" waist 42" hips 52" bmi 38.6 AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHh Watch this space ladies, up until now I haven't been able to get focused but all of a sudden reality hit!! OMG I am getting married this year!!!!

well done!! sounds like you're making good progress so far, i need to shed about a stone and a half before my wedding in september, i go running usually, but with the weather being so miserable i've not been out since november, i really need to get back into it!! i've been eating those brivita breakfast bisquits on a morning with a yoghurt or fruit, or alternatively scrambled eggs. then a salad of sandwich at lunch, and a weight watchers frozen meal on a night, if i feel hungry between meals i snack on sultanas and raisens or have slices of cucmber cherry tomatoes and a few pieces of cheese. good luck :-) xx
I had lost about 4st and was slim for the first time in my life but since I met my H2B I have put most of it back on! I don't seem to be able to get motivated or stop eating either! I need to get myself a personal trainer (who'll work for free) to shout at me I think. I don't want to be spilling out of my wedding dress :o(

I promised myself in the New Year I would get fit and lose weight, but the pain from a broken wrist has put paid to that! I only have another 9 days though till the cast comes off so I dont have any excuse after then!

well done stacey and mrsh2be, i started slimming world on the 10th Jan so have my first weigh in tomorrow night, i have really enjoyed doing it this week and my h2b is also doing it so it has proved to be quite easy, and we are never hungry, i have 1 stone 4lb to lose so my dress will fit perfectly, i am so nervous about the weigh in but excited to find out if i have lost anything too. i think slimming world is great and the meeting seemed very professional and helpful :) x

I felt like I got a telling off there for putting a discussion up about my weight loss...I was told to put it in here...surely people can have their own discussions too?!
Anyway my aim is to lose about 6 or 7 stones...I've been eating healthy since the week after Christmas...I've just come to the end of my first week of exercise having done that 5 days this week, my arms and legs are aching but apparently thats a good thing, I've no idea how much I've lost as I've no scales or meauring tape...I'm hopig next time I visit my mum who does have a scale and a measuring tape I will be pleasently surprised :)

Hey Everyone,
I'm new on here but I too (like the rest of the women on the planet) have been trying to shift some poundage since the Christmas over indulgences... For the first week in Jan I tried to eat as healthily as possible, totally cut out bread and other unnecessary carbs, reduced portion sizes and I upped the gym sessions. I'm trying to go 4-5 times a week (which I often manage as the boy and I go together) and I'm sticking to a program one of the instructors gave me (mainly fat burning programmes on the machines, combined with interval training).
All seemed to be going well but as we're going on holiday in 2 weeks, I needed an extra incentive so I tried the Cabbage Soup Diet this week. I know most people are wary of it but I've found it really works (and yes, I stuck to it like glue!!)!! I've lost about 3.5 kgs since the beginning of the month and I'm using it as a way to kick start me into a healthy living regime! I don't know about you but once I see results, it really motivates me!
I just thought I'd put this up here incase anyone wants to give it a bash - apparently most of the weight you lose will be water weight but you feel tonnes better for it, believe me!! If you fancy finding out more or any tips or hints, then I'd be happy to oblige!!

Evening ladies. Treadmill is going well - I've been on every day except yesterday (thought one day off was ok) but then at a wedding fair today, I ate too many cake samples :o( But they were delicious!
Anyway, back on it tomorrow.

I'm doing WW too. Started almost exactly one year ago. I've lost 3 stone, 2 pounds. When the points values changed I got really disheartened and stopped doing it properly, but since going back last week, I feel reinvigorated.

getting weighed tonight, i have been on the treadmill 4 times this week, i have been getting up at 6am to go on for 30 mins, as i cant be bothered on a night time after work and 3 kids etc, getting up in the morning is brill, makes me feel so much better for the day ahead !!!xxxxxx

I've bought some of their books; I like the pizzas you make from scratch. I just bulk everything out with vegetables and now fruit is free, I'm trying to eat more of it. A good tip is to have a bowl of 'no-point soup' before you sit down to eat as then you'll feel full. I also just get the 'light' version of sauces so I can still have quick meals, although I don't like the WW own ones.

Start: 35", 29", 41" Today: 34", 27", 39.5" This week's loss: 0, 0, 0.5" Total so far: 1", 2", 1.5" Only a 0.5" loss off my hips this week, but kinda pleased with that as it's my toughest area to lose from. That and my stomach below my belly button feels alot flatter (forgot to include that bit in my measurements).

Hey chez, don't beat yourself up - you've lost 1/2lb. That's really good, and even better you haven't put any on :-) Everyone has good weeks and bad weeks, and as leafy says if you've been exercising it could be that you are building up muscle. Try taking your measurements each week to see if you are losing inches. Keep up the good work xxx
