I would quite happily inject myself if i knew it was safe as being pale is th vain of my life but I'm not sure I would trust any of the sites selling them when the drug is illegal anyway.
Yvonne, where did you get them from? Can you post a link on my wall? Also, how quickly do they work?

ewwwww needles *cringe*
Personally I wouldn't anyway, nevermind doing it at home *cringes again* Fast tan sunbeds is as far as I'd go, but then I'm lucky, I tan with minimal sun and it lasts forever. If you do want to use them then I seriously suggest obtaining medical advice first - it sounds like it accelerates your melanoma levels (I think that's the right term) and it's all too possible that it may accelerate it to the point of skin cancer with regular use - I know you want to look gorgeous but I doubt you want a lasting effect like cancer. Seriously, medical advice BEFORE you start injecting this stuff! xxx
(sorry, there's always one and it's usually me lol)
It's right what they say

But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D
CommentAuthorG.I
Well the reports I've read have talked about peoples moles getting bigger and darker so think you could be right kerrylou. Maybe I'm destined to be pale :o(
CommentAuthorvickyG
its not illegal to buy it but its illegal to sell it in the uk, and the websites selling it can get away with it by putting on their websits for research use only... i was lookin into it cos i dont tan naturally i only burn, but after reading about it i decided against it, it apparently can cause sickness and because it hasnt been tested properly noone knows the long term damage it can cause xx
CommentAuthorKerrylou
First thing I thought when I read the thread GI, plus if it's illegal to sell it in this country then you can bet your sweet tush that it hasn't been tested properly OR it's failed the rigorous testing of the British Skin Foundation. I blame ruddy celebrity culture for things like this - silly popstars going abroad for these treatments and promoting it as a good thing to do regardless of the consequences to Joe Public's health (Girls Aloud have a lot to answer for if you ask me!!)
Anyway, I digress, back to the point! If you ladies are so desperate to have a healthy warm glow on your wedding day I'd be inclined to start going for sunbeds a good few months before your big days, 1-2 a week depending on the salon's protocol until you've got the tan you desire. Safer still, get yourselves sprayed, but whatever you do PLEASE do not put yourselves at risk of cancer - you're not going to look so gorgeous after surgery that leaves massive scars on your skin, or worse, when you're in intensive care coughing up blood and vomiting your stomach linings, and really, is a tan on your wedding day worth it in the long run?
Sorry if I seem to be coming on really strong, my little brother has just had a growth removed from his shoulder, suspected skin cancer, I can't tell you how frightening it is waiting on biopsy results and praying that your loved one is going to be ok, I just want to spare your nearest and dearests from that angst! xxx

I have to say, I agree with kerrylou. Not to be ganging up or anything, but if the injections arent legally for sale in this country, there will be a very VERY good reason... I'm sure I remember reading something about these injections a while back saying how dangerous they can be. Regardless of this, how do you know that what you are purchasing is indeed what it is labeled as? For all you know, there could be any number of toxins or contaminents within the solutions you get sent, and you have no way of testing for this. People have been (at best) permanently disfigured by self-administering internet brought injections, and (at worst) put themselves at increased risk of cancer and even lost their lives. Is a tan really worth so much that you would risk doing permanent and serious harm? I disagree completely with sunbeds- UV light is dangerous to the skin, sunbeds are proven to be addictive and harmful. There are safe and high quality alternatives avaliable in most beauty salons, and in most high street stores, know as "self tan". If ur worried about being streaky, why not get a professiona spray tan from a salon, and leave it at that. Dont risk ur health for a tan, it is never worth it.

it is illegal to buy them and there is loads of problems with it i wud say a strong big NO to them stick with fake tans or go 2 the sun beds ur safer going there than injecting that stuff but if u go ahead wae it be very careful and be careful u dnt become addicted 2 it cos its very easy 2 do so x
CommentAuthorKaya
There was a programme on a few months back about how dangerous this is!
Now Mrs Cobb!!!!!! :-D
CommentAuthorGeordie_Nikki
I was on them tanning injections last year and the year before (over a period of about 8 months) and I loved my tan off them like... the injections didn't hurt but made me feel a bit sick off the first few but once I was used to them they didn't bother me at all.
A few of my mates are wanting to get them again for the summer, Ive been debating it
CommentAuthorEma
I personally would stick to fake tan or the odd sunbed. I've read up on the injections and the change in moles cant be good! There was a sunbed in the salon I used to work at and I ended up going on at least 3 times a week and ended up loosing the pigment in parts of my skin, it will only tan in the natural sun so I'm v. careful now. I completely agree with Kerry please be careful :) x
CommentAuthorGoff
Ive heard of it and i know someone who used it.
Yeah it makes you go brown, but it also makes you feel REALLY sick.
Use with caution.
Same with sunbeds..... use with caution.
Neither are worth the risk to your health.
