I dont have a theme as such.... but my colour is royal blue and silver....our table names are going to be different shades of blue ...nice names such as midnight, colt, cyan etc

Special places that mean something to you? Streets you have lived? Holiday destinations? Favourite songs/bands/films/TV/Board Games? There are loads that arent theme related - how many tables do you have? That can sometimes help narrow it down.

Munch, we are prob only having 6 tables plus top table which im not fussed about naming (might not even have top table yet-bloomin families!)
Favourite songs will be included in the wedding (entrance song, signing register, walk out, first dance etc)
We are still in our first home (been here 7yrs now!)
Holidays would prob be amusing, people would def feel some hierachy there!!! Mauritus, Spain, Great Yarmouth, Zakynthos, Devon & Weymouth! LOL

My OH proposed in Rome whilst we were on a city break so i am going to name my tables after famous Rome landmarks, as it is personal to the 2 of you. Have you a special place together? a holiday destination/proposal story or something? or maybe something you do together and incoroprate that?

Failing that you mentioned dogs - do you have any pets, maybe pet names past and present? Or how about just something you both like..........colours, songs, films, music or maybe just generic things like names of herbs, cocktails or sweeties?

Different 'greens' could be lovely......mint, olive, jade, emerald, lime, teal, aqua

I was going to say the same as hollhollholly. I've wrote my self a little list of idea I like. My partner used to work as a tree surgeon so he wanted to name then after differnt trees's. But I really like the idea f maning them after star constellations. I really do love this idea as I love the stars and could sit all night looking at them.

No-one's mentioned No. 4 and to be honest it seems like it's only my mum and grandparents who know anything about Chinese tradition (and they're on top table), the rest of us are more westernised - so I'm going to just keep my mouth shut and do the table plan then see if anyone notices! :-)

I think 9 is even better but tbh I'm not exactly sure - I am such a bad Chinese!! Oops! They're only sat down for the speeches anyway so if anyone doesn't like their number they can swap seats :-)

sorry had to share this, we've now changed our table names from motorbikes to Marvel characters and the table plan will look like this


we are gunna get action figures for the tables instead of having cards or whatever

we arent having a themed wedding...so, we had chosen colours until we were told there was 6 more tables than we'd originally thought and its really hard to come up with 15 colours lol! so we have given the tables chocolate bars names and are having a mini chocolate bar (matching their table) in their place :-) xxx

We're not having a themed wedding either.. but we're going to name our tables after the places we visited/stayed whilst travelling America for 2 months last summer! Just because it is special to us :)

I think numbers would be fine if you dont have a theme..............Ive seen some gorjus wooden numbers inside a heart that would look stunning, might be expensive tho depending how mny tables you have as there were £4 each!
If you really didnt want number s tho I agree with the girls, names of your colours would be fab.....you could switch it up a bit and do names of your colours in different languages??


The best one Ive heard was the couple named all their tables after girls names and at the meal they annouched that they were expecting their first child a little girl and the names of the tables were the names they liked........I thought that was AWESOME!
But I refuse to get pregnant so we can do it lmao so we are having names of romantic roses instead hehehe
