Hi girls, just thought i would let u all know what ive been doing the past week or so, making sweet cones! They were originally for my little ones bday party on the 10th, to give out instead of party bags, and i made 50 in total but only needed 30. anyway the rest i decided to post on bookface, we have a bargains group for our local area where ppl post things to sell etc, and i posted the 20 on there. Well they went down a storm and everyone has asked if im doing anymore! i have since ordered another lot of sweets and cone bags, 150 this time, and will see how this goes down with them! Not only is it going to help make me a bit of extra cash for the wedding but also i might even make them myself for favours! lol having a lot of fun making them and every little helps towards the wedding! Maybe some other brides will want to try this as an extra little earner or consider them for their favours now if ur making ur own or on a budget! happy days!

p.s hope this catergory is ok mods x

I'd be careful selling them because firstly this could be classed as running as business as you are exceptin money for goods so you may need to register as self employed but mainly because I have a friend who does this sort of thing and she once had a complaint from a customer who threaten to sue her as she could prove that she made the sweetie bags up in a safe environment ie she wore gloves etc when touching the sweets and using sterlised work serfaces etc. This obviously is likely to be a rare complaint or possibly a one off but its always advicable to be wary of such things.
personnaly I love the idea of candy cones and they fit my own wedding theme perfectly, although we are just having a candy table so guests can choose their own sweets.

never thought of that linzmum! one of the reasons i have decided to do more was because i felt so bad about them running out when ppl still wanted some! maybe i should look into that, maybe even set up a little business, although i can c that costing more to set up than actually being worthwhile! hmmm....theres always something in the way!

think i might just stick to doing them for myself or favours for friends then, dont wanna get in trouble! lol

p.s. im quite pinickity about clean hands etc so def no worries there! x
