    Hiya,
That was average price i was given aswell. Have you thought about doing one yourself?! Maybe if you knew someone with a Bookers card, and got the sweets and got jars and scoops from The bay or where ever.
We also looked into it, but for the kids it was gunna cost too much money. We went to charity shops and bought trifle dishes, and will be going to Bookers to get our sweets.

I've decided to do my own. I've got a couple of jars and a couple of bowls so far. Will just take them all to the venue and they can set it up along with the night time food. There'll be no refilling though so once a jar is empty it can go under the table. I'm going to try and have maybe 10 jars/bowls and a couple of sweetie tree things. Some of the sweets you can get in multi bag for a £ from the £shop so shold save a bit of money :) x

I would *love* a sweetie bar! Our venue has a pre-prepared one for £200, but to be honest, I want to do my own... Hope they will let me do my own instead of using theirs...

    xx

I've always wanted a sweetie table so am def having one!! Like other ladies i am doing my own though - i already have 4 glass vases/containers of different shapes and sizes that i will use and will pick up a few more in the sales as and when i see them :) my friend has a cash and carry card so i also plan to stock up on wholesale prices haha. Ive not really worked out the price but it must be cheaper than getting someone to do as i already have quite a few vases etc.

I'll probably but colour coordinating ribbons around them and have colour corodinating candy bags (lots of the bay of e and you can get personalised ones!!).

Still undecided as to whether have any/all our fave sweets or try keep them in line with our colours. I'm having black, white and yellow so mint humbugs and fried eggs are a must lol!!

I'm gonna have a bash at doing my own candy trees. You can get the tree kit for £9.99 from the bay and you just add the sweets of you choice.

Im doing my own ive bought all my jars from ikea, cost about £10 for about 9/10 jars. I ordered my tongs & scoops off the bay for about £5. I ordered 200 striped sweets bags for £3 and two wooden placks for a fiver again off the bay and now i just need to buy the sweets to go in but will probs go to a cash & carry for them so all in all it will be no more than £50 ish :-)

This is going on my ever growing if we have the funds list. However I will probably just buy the sweets and stick the tubs on the table don't know what I would do with lots of glass bowls after the wedding. Unless i keep saving my Yankee candle jars clean and re use them. I do have around 6 in the cupboard already.

I'm having a whole table dedicated to the 'sweet' stuff. Chocolate fountain in the middle and LOADS of sweets all around it. I too am going to by the jars/bowls from IKEA and the sweets from MAKRO. We've got loads of kiddies coming to our evening reception so this is for their benefit really but i'm guessing the adults won't be too unhappy with it either!
