So I had decided ages ago i wanted a sweetie buffet, and got on the net and had a few quotes from ppl, £210 was my cheapest. Which for what its is is great, however, started a new job, etc and its a bit more than i can afford. So D.I.Y!! So I have the jars (6 of which cost me a grand total of £6!) Got my ribbons for putting on jars and little butter fly tags <3
My problem is now the sweeties, Now i know what selection i want to have, but i dont know how many grams per guest I should be getting. Someone suggested 100g per person as not every person will want the sweeties and others may take more.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I would do about 100 - 150g per guest hun, i can't imagine anyone would want more than that and if you have some left over it isn't the end of the world. We are getting the massive bags of goodies from a bulk retailer and just chucking it all on a table, it won't be petty but there will be lots! x

ah yeh that sounds about reasonable, considering how much 100g is in food it is quite alot - think about picknmix at cinema or in supermarkets, you can get quite a lot and quite a variety in that 100-150g.
We're looking at having a chocolate fountain - so marshmallows and fruit then ill probs go to a wholesalers and do my own jars on tables for evening of mix and match. Just need to find the jars - so any good sites let me know! x

I was just collecting old jars lula, everytime i opened my kitchen cupboard though one fell out and smashed. Gave up in the end lol and got a candy cart that was £150 at an open day, it was reduced because of the open day so i thought il have some of that!!
I agree 100g sounds reasonable, there will be people that won't even touch it or might just pick at one or 2 things, i know if i have two many sweets i feel sluggish so id just get a small handful if that. You always get the one that will get a sh1t load, but you will get more people getting less than more Id imagine

I actually got 6 of mine for £1 each in a super market, (begining with As.a :P ) the rest I got at my work. B&W (turn the w upside down :P )they were about £2.50 each. If I hadnt gotten them I was going to go look round Charity shops.
Just been on the bay of e and the scoops and tongs are really cheap as well! so Im happy with that. Right now i can go order my sweeties! and not eat them before the day >.<
Thank you ladies :)
