i have just realised that i am not sure what to do with the suits. their is the groom, best man, 3 ushers, fob and page boy.

Do they all have the same suit. I am going to have the pageboy tie same colour as bridesmaids as that makes sense, but i have no idea if all the others have the same suit and colour cravat?

Should they all have the colour of the bridesmaid to match the scheme or ivory or do the groom, best man wear one, ushers another and fob another?

I have no idea!! xx

my H2B is picking the suits for the men/boys in the wedding party. The only input I had was the colour of the cravats had to match the colour of the BM dresses

I'm a bit confused on this as well. I recently went to a wedding and the fog had a matching suit as well as all the others you said. I don't know if thats usual or not cos it was the one and only wedding I've been to :( I think I might have matching suits but like laticschick, I want the groom to have something different like the waistcoat or something.

We are hiring suits cuz we have 3 ushers, my brother giving me away, the best man and the groom of course. Because we need 6 suits there are lots of places that do deals where the groom goes free etc.

Sometimes it works out cheaper to get the suit you want by hiring. Rob's dad is awkward and he is not giving any one away so we said he can wear his own suit. They are all buying their own shoes and we are getting the ushers their cufflinks as their gifts to save money :) xxx

maybe: i think i want them all in grey suits then, groom, best man and pb in purple cravats, and ushers in ivory cravats. but then would ivory and grey work together (not sure it would).xx

its up to you hunni, but i'm having the groom in a silver cravat to match my silver dress and all the other groomsmen in red cravats to match the bridesmades. i'm doing the same with the buttonholes, groom with red rose to match my bouquet and all the other groomsmen with a white rose to match the bridesmaids. all the sames suites though. oh and the groom in a slightly different waistcoat too.

We've got 3 kilt outfits and 3 suits for the men - this is because H2B wants to wear a kilt (he wants Irish for heritage I've said no as with the rest of the colour scheme it would be too Christmas-sy and we're getting married in September). So he will be wearing a grey kilt with white shirt and red cravat with the prince Charlie jacket and his two best men will be wearing black shirts with white or ivory cravats. The 3 suits are the dads and my young nephew who really don't want to wear kilts so they'll be wearing tailored trouser suits with morning jackets (I think that's what they're called) with white shirts and red cravats.

No need to have them in exactly the same just as long as the colours fit the scheme what's the problem. :)

well we have finally decided and booked them.

we are having tails. charcoal grey suit
groom-ivory cravat, and ivory waistcoast with pattern on
bm, ushers, fob, pb- purple cravat and waistcoat with pattern on.

then all the attendants will be wearing purple with ivory flowers and bride and groom will be wearing ivory with purple flowers xx

we're not doing suits for our ceremony, but i would advise, that your groom stand out from everyone, that the ushers are the saame as eachtoher, and the BestMan sits somwhere in the middle. So if Grrom is Dark Dark Green, Ushers could be pale green, almost white, and best man a hunter green (dark but not AS dark) and FOTG somwhere between BM & U

My H2b is wearing the same suit as his groomsmen and the page boys but they have cream waist coats with no colour in Mike's has got lilac running through his waistcoat in a nice swirl pattern identifying him as the groom :) xx

my h2b and all his groomsmen are wearing the same colour. is that not right then?

the colour scheme is lilacs and shades of purple and pearl :) but I will be sneaking in some hidden symbols through the service and venues :) xx

yeah i went to the shop and they were like babrie dolls (well ken dolls), i was trying on different things and finally found the perfect match !

We want the same suits but something slightly diff for groom so he stands out a bit

Everyone is having a Navy suit but Rich is having a dark purple cravat and hankie, our nephew is having a lighter shade of purple and the rest of the men are having orange. :)

we are having same suit for groom, bm and fob but to give them a difference, my h2b will be wearing a silver cravat and the others wearing a teal cravat :)
Our ushers are getting their own suits :) xx

im a bit stuck with this tho at the mo ry leaving it up to me yeay! Still i want them in tails black! But no top hat or anything (would this look silly?) and then ry is having a diff waistcoat and cravat to the groomsmen and dads but im not sure whether to put dads in own suits and just match the cravats and waistcoats? or to get everyone in the same suit?

we have h2b, fob, fog, stepfog, best man, and at the min 2x groomsmen (tho a trying to get it down to the one groomsman as we havent seen the other guy for about 2 years and havent heard from him!!but again that ry decision!Not sure about ushers and pageboy/ring bearer yet.

and i mite be a bit silly but what the difference between page boy and ringbearer? Is it just the name and they like junior bms (only boy) and the fact that ringbearer carries rings?? lol

krazykitty - the suits we are getting are tails and the men arent wearing top hats it looked silly with them. They look fab without.
