I am pretty sure I have decided this is the look I want for the centre pieces, just wondered if anyone else is having submerged flowers or has had them and if they can shed any light on how long they last?

I have no idea tbh but if I were you I would ring a florist up and ask them their opinions. At least then you know from the horses mouth and they may even be able to tell you if you need to weight them down and what is the best thing to use. Lovely idea and they do look stunning. Have you found a place where you can hire the vases from yet?

they are beautiful! you could always test case it by buying the one cala lily and submerging it at home.
they look great if your using real probably not that long or have you thought about using artificial ones?

That is a good point actually and I'm sure with ************no advertising ********** that you could get some nice foam or latex ones from her that would submerge well. She also knows where to get some fab silks from too.

I am liking the idea of silk ones - Jo the name of who you suggested didn't come through just a lot of xxxxx's.
I have tons of pictures after looking at them all day if anyone wants them. I'm buying the tall circular vases and smaller ones as we've got to get them over to France. I'll then either re-sell them or dish them out to family. xx

Love the tall display but I would be careful with the height otherwise guests will not be able to see each other across the tables. They look fab lit up at night but not sure about impact during the day, especially if it is a summer wedding where they wont have full show until very late on

I thought that too Jilly - I will doing some mock ups and see what they look like and post pics

Good idea .... candles are fab at night and winter weddings etc but can be lost during the day at a summer wedding and nothing worse than dodging a centrepiece trying to talk to guests during a meal
