I knew this month would be the hardest as the wedding countdown is more in the days, rather than weeks and months. But this month is becoming a lot tougher than I thought.

On Friday my H2B went on his stag do. He called me a few times, to which I told him not to (it was his stag do anyway) but he called me again at half 1 in the morning, when it was his brother telling me he had a fall and was in hospital. Omg I couldn't sleep, I was terrified he was hurt a lot more than his brother was telling me. But when he came home just before four in the morning his eyebrow was the size of a golf ball, it was a site! I'm still worried about him because today he told me he's not feeling well (I'm hoping it's just my cold he's caught) and his shoulder, which he dislocated years ago, is still painful.

Well, that night I only had an hours sleep. The Saturday was my hen do. In the morning I tried to reshape the flat for my mum, aunt and friend who were coming over in a few hours. I grabbed H2B's jeans which were covered in vomit and threw them in the washing machine. As I walked past the kitchen what do I see in the washing machine, soaked through..... HIS PASSPORT!! I got it out and tried to dry it, but whilst googling what happened I realised that he'll need a new passport. Fortunately the honeymoon is not until two days after the wedding, it's in three weeks and two days, so we have enough time to fix it, but it was still stress and work that I could have done without.

Today my H2B called the passport adviceline. He could have got an appointment for tomorrow, but it went whilst on the phone. His appointment is for the 22nd this month!! The man on the phone said from that appointment he will get his passport on the 29th... that's six days before we're due to fly out! It's cutting it too close and it's freaking me out.

I still have a lot to do, I need to buy stuff for the honeymoon, finalise my makeup, pack suitcase, plan itinerary for the day and lots more that I can't think of right now. I'm also trying to get over a persistent cold and work full time, I just don't want to hit self-destruct!

Oh hun, right, sit down, deep breath! Now, prioritise! Also, who can help you with what needs doing? You can do it, just break it all down into bite size pieces and you'll get through things no problem!

    HUGS!!!

Shazk - I looked on the government website and for a damage passport I can only get it done fast track (1 week) but not premium. I'm not sure why I can't, but it would help with the anxiety if I could!

InDreamland - H2B has just called and he said when he goes up for his appointment he'll ask if one of us can collect it rather than get it posted (he's anxious it'll get lost in the post) so it may mean one of us will need to change our shifts that week. If it gets delivered we'll get it on the 28th, not the 29th, but if one of us can collect it that could be a lot sooner. On the government website because it's a replacement, not a renewal, we can't get it on the day or the next day, which is a huge bummer.

How annoying. Well fingers crossed you get it no problems, don't worry, things will work out just fine. It's probably all the anxiety of things being so close now and worrying things will fall apart that is making things seem worse than they are xxx

It does sound like a stressful situation but it's doable. Try not to panic too much. X

There are quicker passport alternatives but they do cost more and require basically a whole day to complete. There is one in London and Liverpool I believe.

H2B had to go get a last minute passport a few weeks ago this way. Cost nearly £200 though!

There are alternatives though so an expensive passport is better, although not great, than a missed honeymoon... so wait out and see if it arrives in time, if not, make plans to go down for an emergeny one!!!

Good news, the appointment is now for this Thursday, not the following one. My only concern is that we are using an older picture of him because he has a black eye, I'm trying to work out how to get it off the computer with it looking ok if not I don't know if they'll accept a photo of him with a black eye, saying that it's only black on his top eye lid just yellow-green below his eye

I thought the photos had to be from a booth or taken by a photographer on a blank background. I don't think the accept home photos. Sorry to cause you more stress, but thought it best to let you know sooner rather than later. X

It definitely has to be a photo from a booth or by photographer with a blank white background. They might take a pic of him with a black eye, any chance he would give foundation and light reflecting concealer a shot???

I got an application form for a new passport today and it does not say anyway that it MUST be from a photo booth, my H2B's last passport photo was taken at home against a white background and it worked then so I'm hoping it'll work again this time.
