Can I have some opinions please. My h2b is an inch taller than me and I have bought some 4 inch heels which I love. They are diamanté strappy sandals as I don't like the traditional wedding shoe. Is it going to look awful me being taller. I wasn't too worried but my mum is really against it and says it will ruin the photos. Has anyone got the same problem? What do you girls think? X

Kvelvick - I have the same problem sort of my H2b is 4 inches taller than me but my heels are 4.5 inches which will make me taller than my H2b I wasnt happy about it either, but H2b isnt bothered, I dont know what to do, as to me it doesnt look right, but i could be wrong.

remember in shoes you add an inch ish to his height. My H2B is about 1 inch taller but with him in shoes i can get away with about a 3 inch heel

He doesn't care, he likes me in heels, I can just imagine everyone thinking it looks bad though. I need to get him sone wedge shoes!! Hehe!! He's going to be about 2 inches shorter and that's without the height of the hair. X
Ask your h2b how he feels. I am taller than my h2b and he doesn't like me going anywhere any taller than I already am, so I have flat shoes and boots these days. My killer heels are still in the back of my wardrobe for if ever I go out without him tho :0)

I'm the same! H2B is only an inch taller than me so I went for smallish heels - ended up with about 2-3 inch heels so I'm still going to be taller but not hugely so. Adam is used to it now as I always wear heels when we go out. I have however bought some flats too so will be changing into them later on.

my h2b isnt too much taller than me, and 2 of my bridesmaids are way taller than me and even my 11 year old is now slightly taller than me so im worried i may look a midget on the day lol but i am 5" 7' but feel like ive shrunk lol but i dont think id want to be taller than my h2b, if you have normal photos of the two of you together with you in heels, how do they look?? xx

My h2b is about 4 inches shorter than me (im 6ft, so he's not teeny tiny lol). I have 2 pairs of shoes for the day, one has 2.5" heels and the others are flat which are for the reception but thinking of wearing them all day now because im worried people will laugh!

me and my h2b are the same height, for me, i dont like to be taller than him, so i have going for flats, but i dont think it would spoil the photos! if u like yr shoes, it doesnt matter, ask yr h2b wat he thinks!! :) x

my h2b is exactly the same height as me. i don't wear heels because it leaves me with too much pain due to medical problems. but i wouldnt feel comfortable being taller than him. either way i would have worn heels xx

Marielouise - My twins who are also 11 are taller than me now and with two years to go they are going to be much taller. lol like i said in a previous post, the only person in the bridal party that isnt taller than me is my flower girl who will be 7 that year. : ) lol will be wearing flats later on in the evening but for the ceremony heels are definately called for.

hmmm my h2b is a few inches taller then me, but i was planning on wearing about 3" heels....plus having my hair in a semi updo will add even more height, blimy, i had not thought of this before, defo ask your other half what he thinks, failing that, i recon go for a smaller heel and be the same height. x

I'm an inch taller than my h2b in bare feet and have deliberately chosen a pair of shoes with just a 1 inch heel so that the difference wont be too much - but to be honest, neither of us are too bothered since we're used to it - we regularly go out with me being 2-3 inches taller than him in my heels. I would say don't worry too much about it - it's part of who you are together xx

clarebear lol im glad im not the only one i was gonna have 3 inch heels and think i maybe just under h2b so as my change of dress isnt happening can still wear heels!! as i think everyone towering over me will look odd may make me look short and stumpy lol but will have to try and get a picture of all my bridesmaids and me together and see what it looks like

Totally agree pennieb it is part of who you are.
There's a 4 inch difference between me & H2B (I'm the tall one) & he would be genuinely upset if I didn't wear heels on our day. He doesn't care about the height difference or any other difference (there's an age difference as well).

Jellybabylin - My ex husband is a foot taller than me, my step mother said to me she never noticed the height difference before because I seemed to always be in heels lol. But the photos looked fine and in out of 80 photos only one of them you could see the height difference, but my age old saying is ' The best things come in small packages ' and im sticking to it. ' : ) x

same problem for me as well i am 1 inch taller than h2b,i have amazing killer heels but have decided against them as i dont want to be towering above him in the pics,so flats for me now i think xx

Well, I am nearly 6 ft and H2B says he's 5 8 (he's not even close :0) ) I don't normally wear heels but will do on occasion if we are going out. I will tell him I'm wearing heels so it's not too much of a shock to him. I tend to slouch normally but stand up straight in heels so go from seemingly not that much taller to 'land of the giants' tall! It has never been a problem with us. A few times friends of his would take the mick, then I would stand next to him, his face is at the same height as my ample chest, and they would say he's the perfect height!
MIL2b kept commenting on it when I bought my shoes, which are 2 1/2 to 3 in. She went on about it so much that I thought maybe there was a problem that I was choosing to ignore but H2b said he is not bothered. I have been told that I'm not allowed to wear my shoes when we do our first dance. I have a lovely pair of (flat) sparkly sandals to wear in the evening for that anyway.
As I pointed out, it's not like I was 5 ft when he met me and I've grown a foot since we've been together. I have been this height for 20 years!

im about the same height as ry but i love wearing heels! i have worried about that though im deciding whether to wear my posh flip flops (which he bought me) or to wear the shoes his mum has lent me. going to wear them for the pictures of me getting ready but i dont know whether to wear them for ceremony as well. i will no doubt take my shoes off in evening anyway so that wont matter! xx
