I am thinking about my look for the wedding day and do not want panda eyes but nature has not bestowed me with lucious lashes so i need a little help lol! I thought about using ordinary stick on false lashes but i am rubbish at putting them on and would be paranoid that one would come off and i would look ridiculous. So i started looking at these semi-permanent lashes but wanted to know if anyone had tried them. The before and after pics look amazing but they cost £50 for the decent looking salons plus i went to a posh salon once to have my eyelashes permed and i looked awful-certainly don't want that look on my wedding day! xxx

I've had them on a few times but because my eyelashes go in different directions they didn't last. They do look really nice and I loved having them. I'm still thinking about having them for my wedding but they only last a week on mine. My friend does them and said they normally last up to 6 months if u go for infills if not they can last about 3 months.

I've never been one to wear mascara etc due to me wearing glasses but the lady I've been to about my make up does them. She normally charges £50 which I think is about average. But I've been seeing her to do my eyebrows and she's reducing the cost to half price :)!!! I've seen her rdo someone elses and the results are fab. Looked so natural. If we're not rushing to bring the wedding forward then I'll def be going to have them x

Thanks ladies that all sounds very positive- i was expecting at least one horror story lol!.I am going away for a week with my sister in May so i will probably get them done then for a practice to see how they look/ last etc.does £50 seem about right price wise? Also sounds a really daft question but do you have to be able to keep your eyelids really still for a prolongued period of time? Its just when i had my eyelashes permed (massive mistake!) the lady got very frustrated at me that i kept moving/blinking.I was trying really hard to stop my eyelashes from fluttering but for goodness sake someone was putting a curler on my eyelashes-it was hard! xxx

I had them done for free once by someone who was training. Loved them, however once a few of them started coming off, it looked silly, and trying to take the rest off was such a pain! They say to use baby oil on them to bring them off, but they really were stubborn.

i had individual eyelashes put in for my engagement party, cost me £15 and lasted 3 days before i rubbed my eyes and picked em off half asleep one morning. loves em best thing ever and amazing how real they look. gonna book mine for my wedding day x

oh and they took about 15 minutes to do and u gotta try and keep still but its not for long just like laying down resting ur eyes, nearly feel asleep.

id try individual eye lashes mate well worth it and not exspensive either, wouldn't pay more than about 20-25 quid x

I wear mascara every day - I have around 9 different brands and alternate. Some make my lashes look really full BUT I will be having semi permanent lashes for the big day. There's nothing like them, honestly. I pay £16 (which is very good ) and they last 2 weeks - which is all I need really. I don't like to look TOO glam often as I like to wow people when I do if you get what I mean?

Definitely book in and see if you like them, I think you will - most people do.

    Here comes the bride......

I love them and regularly get them done. There is only one downside ...... they are quite harsh on your natural eyelashes. When you get them off you do look like you've lost a few of your own lashes and they thin. But they don't take long to go back to normal. They are definately something I'll be getting for my wedding day the give full and thick lashes and no need for mascara. Just remember to comb them regulary and you'll be looking lush :-) xxx

These sound like something to suggest to my mum (if she decides she likes h2b by then and wants to come to the wedding) I was blessed with eyelashes like a cow but my Mums are really short and stubby. Must ask the two beauticians I have close for prices.

Well i had these done as a trial for the wedding yesterday.Thought it would be good time to try as i am going on holiday 2 weeks today.
Firstly having it done was very strange but relaxing too.It took two hours from arriving to leaving.I spent most of those two hrs with my eyes closed and sort of taped up and the lady didn't speak the whole time-its the way she likes to concentrate -so it was a slightly surreal experience,i was to all intents and purposes blind and deaf.I kept thinking it was like being on an operating theatre as i could just feel slight tugging and then tapping but i had no idea what she was doing, how much time had elapsed etc.It was weird but not unpleasant, certainly wouldn't put me off going again!
More importantly to the results.I have quite short sparse eyelashes naturally and the lady doing them will not put lashes on that will put a strain on your natural lashes so she was limited to the length and thickness she could achieve.I was initially a bit disappointed as i expected them to be a bit more dramatic but they look very natural-plus i was comparing them to my lashes after curling and wearing tons of mascara not in their natural state!.It doesn't look false in the slightest just longer and curlier and thicker than my own.Waking up this morning i look lovely (well as lovely as i can achieve at 42 at 6am!) instead of looking bleary eyed with smuged black eyes (yes i always take off my mascara but some always remains) i look kind of fresh and perky and i swear they make me look younger lol!
I think i like them but only time will tell.I have yet to see them with makeup on and i don't know how i will feel going without mascara-i have worn it every day for nearly 30years! xxx

mine are £10 for the trial (hen do) and then £15 on the day which is fine, might get them done on the day or possibly two days before and if they look hellish she can alter them as she is doing my make up as well. with me getting married at 11 i need to be up super early already and i'm not sure if she will have time to do them

Ive had these a few times - but somehow they dont agree with me - i kept getting migraines and went to docs, he said it was my eyelashes! how bizarre....but as soon as i took them off - my headaches stopped! It was creating a weight on my eyelids which in turn stirred up headaches. so i for one wont be having anymore also , when they came off - i had NO natural lashes till they started to gromw back after about 3 weeks|! scarey times! x

I have tried the strip lashes but they come off after a few hours lol, i did have a few individual ones done last year but the glue smelt horrible and the fumes burnt my eyes overall they did look good but once i woke up the next mornring they were a mess lol!i am thinking about having the more expensive ones done i will prob have them done morning of the wedding along with my nail extensions, toes, i dont wear make-up unless im going out so ill prob wear minimal for the wedding, i have had semi permanant eyebrow tattooing done 18 months ago but the beautician was rubbish i was in agony for 3 hours cos she didnt leave numbing cream on long enough and they faded sooner than the recommended time so im just gonna have my eyebrows threaded now and lightly pencil them in xx

I want to have them, and I really want to have some done now for a trial but at the moment I have a problem with my eyes. I cant even wear mascara.
A month ago I had conjunctivitis, twice. and I used drops for them and they got better, but ever since then my eyes have developed really bad sensitivity to light......daylight and indoor lights. I look a bugger at work wearing sunglasses! But I have an eye test on Sunday at Specsavers and will see what they have to say, and maybe I will change to tinted glasses for work, I dont think reactolite work with artificial light do they? Or maybe I still have a bit of infection that hasn't properly cleared up yet. SO I cant have an eyelash trial until that's sorted because they are already sore and stinging.

Raggedy, the reactions lenses only work with UV rays so they wouldn't work without being outside. You might be better with an anti-glare for when you're working inside. Good luck with getting it all sorted.

Well I went to have my eye test and he says.....which i think I knew anyway....that there doesn't look as if I ever had Conjunctivitis....there is no sign of redness and my eyes are too clean. But that I have dry eye syndrome and all I need for that are some artificial tears. The eye drops I had used for conjunctivitis hadn't done any harm, but they didn't really do any good either, because they evaporated too quickly as they are only water based. I actually didn't think I had Conjuctivitis when the doctor said I had, but he is the doctor and I thought he knew better than I did.
Anyway I need stronger glasses now, so have them on order, and just to help with the flourescent lighting making my eyes sensitive, I have gone for slightly tinted ones....hardly noticable but just there. The optician said that Anti-glare are good, but that they didn't make the lighting less bright....just that they protected against glare....and in his opinion, the tinted ones would be fine. My eyes have gone from a +1.5 to a +2 in the period of 2 years.

On my way home I dropped into Tescos to pick up some artificial tears, and when I got in the car I put some drops in and it was instant relief! I can actually see again without having to squint. they are slightly thicker than the water based drops, they arelike a fine gel.....and they are a godsend. All I need now are my new glasses which will be ready on Sunday, & I am good to go!
