Hi #UKbride my fiancé & I have just made our save the date cards & was wondering if you send them to the evening guests as well as the day guests? Thanks xx CATEGORY CHANGED BY MODS

It's up to you. We don't have day and evening guests. All our guests are invited to the whole day, however, if we did have separate guests we'd have only sent them to the day guests xx

I was wondering this too , my concern is it is likely some day guests we are inviting can't make it due to them living overseas so friends who currently would be on the evening list maybe bumped up to day guests so not sure if I needed save the dates for all or just some ?
Somehow always connected , finally became friends .
Friends became soul mates :)

Nah I wouldn't worry about that until you're doing your RSVP's for your invites closer to the wedding. The save a dates is really just for people to mark their calenders.

I know I should start my own thread but I'm curious, are save the dates necessary, I've always assumed the invite was a 'save the date' in itself? I'm all about money saving and the more I think back I don't think I've ever received a save the date.

We decided against save the dates as we are having a reasonably intimate wedding with just very close friends and family who, because they are so close, know the date already. I think they are a good idea if you're getting married on a bank holiday or if people are likely to book holidays a year or so in advance x

save the dates are good if you've secured your date and need to tell your guests but you've not finalised timings or menu options so can't send out invites just yet and we only sen tour save the dates to day guests xx

We decided not to send them as it is only close family coming to the ceremony and everybody knows the date. We are just going to send out our invitations about 4 months before :) x

We did because we have guests (hopefully) coming from all over the world, some as far as Tokyo, plus other friends are going travelling next week so they wanted to make sure they would be around :)

We did 'save the date' and 'save the evening' as our wedding is actually on a Thursday we thought it would be a good idea if everyone knew and had chance to book time off work etc. Also, some guests are coming from out of town, some as far as 300 miles.
