Do you think it is best to send RSVP cards with your invite's to your guest's so that they have no reason not to reply?
I have made my invitation's and they have RSVP, Guest Info and Gift List cards included BUT h2b has decided he isn't happy with our colour choice and we're now changing, so these invites are going to waste and I don't want to make anymore, I'm going to have to buy ready-made ones and I haven't come across any I like with RSVP's.
So, is it really important? Could I get away with not sending them and just asking people to RSVP through our website (which we haven't yet made)

i dont think it really matters. i included rsvp cards and envelopes that were address so all they had to do was tick a box and put a stamp on it! i gave out my invites over 2 months ago and still havnt recieved some even though i said by end march! driving me mad!
if you have a website just ask them to do it through there as it will be easier for most people. just be careful with older guests eg grandparents as if we did that my nan would have gone off on one xx

Hmm yeah I didn't think about the older guys but then I think they normally make more of an effort to reply with a nice card.
God, it's a no win situation isn't it!! x

we did put RSVP cards and a stamped self addressed envelope - so all they had to do was Say yes or no - and still some people havent. They've been out for about 3 weeks now.
As long as you have everyones contact details and if needs must you would be able to call them all up and say is it a yes or no. Because you will need to know obviously.
But sure loads of people are doing it on websites these days - so go for it!

We're doing both giving an RSVP card and a link to our wedding website where they can reply. Older relatives will most likely reply by post and younger friends and relatives will use the online RSVP systems.
I've made my own rsvp's to send out and even put an envelope in with our address on the front (just not a stamp cause I'm tight) I have included the date we need the replies back too and the meal request is on the back of the rsvp. They can also reply back by the wedding website which is in their info booklet so there is no excuse. I will be most annoyed if we don't get the replies in time and will contact them saying they have a week to get them in or their places will be given to someone else.

We sent out invites, rsvp cards, stamped addressed envelopes, menu and money/voucher poem instead of a present list. On the rsvp's we gave guests a choice of boxes (attending/can't attend) and a space for choice of food for the reception.

we have set up a web site which will go live when the invites go out. We are also putting an rsvp card in and a second class stamp and envelope just to try and avoid some of the issues that unfortunately so many other brides are having with rsvps. it wont get everyone to reply but at least hopefully it will minimise us chasing them up.
