Im getting quite annoyed now, i sent out daytime invitiations to over 50 people and have had about 8 replies and i wanted numbers by next week. I am going to have to chase everyone up.
My FIL said they dont do invitations on his side of the family they just hear by word of mouth and turn up to parties but this doesnt work for a wedding so i sent invitations to them all. In a few weeks time i am going to have the same problem with the evening guests. Surely when you recieve a wedding invitation it is common curtesy to reply whether your attending or not even if it is just a phonecall!

I think I'm gunna put on my RSVPs that if I haven't heard anything by 3 months before their names will be scratched off the list. I will have enough to deal with without chasing people up for RSVPs!!!!

You would think that commom sense would kick in and people would reply but I have learnt the hard way that some people just have no sense of anything at all, lol. xx

This is what im worrying about as well. So im going to send the invites 6 months before wedding and tell them i need rsvps two months before for catering numbers. Also so i can do table plan/name cards etc. If i dont hear back by then, then they wont be included in the wedding breakfast so no food, no seat. Think im going to be quite strict when it comes to this cause i dont want to be worrying about numbers so close to the wedding. Ill be stressed enough with other things lol

It's the bit I'm dreading. I'm sure whenever I've had invites, I've gone straight back to them as I know I lose stuff if I don't turn it around fast!

Put 'em on the B list! If they can't be bothered, you shouldn't be...

I have changed my status on facebook telling them to reply if they havent already. If not my mum and dad will be phoning round the family and if we have no luck il just count them as a no. Im wanting to ask some of the evening guests to join us in the day if others cant make it x

Totally rude Tiggs. I know when I get an invite I usually try to reply within a week which I think is a bit long. Im hoping some get deivered to my mum and dads today as it is there address on invite. I cant wait to call at lunch time to check but I know I will prob be dissapointed. xx

Very rude, but they can be sure anyone who just decides to turn up wont be staying.. Im also worrying that some of my h2bs family who were sent evening invitations will turn up to the daytime. Like we need any more stress just weeks before the big day, we have table plans and name places to order etc.
