Not sure but I dont think registry offices bother with rehearsals, not sure why. Basically its a case of walking into the room or down the aisle, meeting up with h2b at the front and there you go. The officials there will guide you anyway, I shouldnt worry! xx

Registry office's don't do rehearsals. Like Jane said its just a case of walking down the aisle doing the vows signing the register and then off you go. (obivously abit more personal than that description lol) x

You could have your own rehearsal at home.. set out the chairs, and go through the entrance exit bits that way.
Now a extremely happy German housewife and now a Mother!!!!
Islay Jean born 24th June in Hannover.
This made me remember about the rehearsal for my FIRST wedding, nearly caused the wedding not to happen! Me and ex Hb and BMs and best man and my mum and my best friend (who had just arrived from up country and I didnt want to be parted from her!) all went to the church for the rehearsal. It went fine, without a hitch. That night however it was the stag and hen nights and I had a call from h2b to say that there were big problems, his mum was threatening to boycott the wedding, and make h2bs dad and best man (his brother) pull out too as SHE hadnt been invited to the rehearsal and it 'seemed every tom, dick and harry was there apart from me!'. And she said her son could not get married if she wasnt there. So stag night was put on hold whilst h2b went to sort her out and calm her down. Personally I would have loved her not to come (mother in law from hell that one!) So eventually, stag and hen nights happened, wedding happened (with sour face mum in law looking like a bitter old hag all the way through).
Luckily, mum in law no 2 (to be!) is as sweet as can be and will not be half as much trouble as the first one! So beware.... rehearsals can cause more trouble than they are worth!!!

Why not call up the registrar and ask for advice on what happens? I saw mine and they gave me a little booklet that goes through the entire process and order.

i feel the same hun about not being sure what to do. i've been to a few before so know a bit about what to expect. i thought they were going to "show us round" and talk about the wedding when we "declared our intent to marry" but we just gave a details seperately, made the payment she gave us a leaflet and a receipt with the vows to choose and said go to the front entrance on the day and that was it!!!! we're going to the register office together so it doesnt matter about not seeing each other before but i know they do allow for you not to see each other. i think the bride and groom get taken into a room to check everythings legal etc then all the guest are allowed in etc. should say a bit about it online if you look at your register office's website hun. xx

A relative of mine got married and rather than waiting so she just walked in without the music said hello to her now hb kissed him then someone i would guess an officer there ushered her out then everythong went as normal. I wouldnt even call this a hitch really so it all works out in the end
