Hi everyone, I have been looking at some tiaras at recent wedding fayres and on different websites and they cost like £180 or around that price, I came back from Florida a couple of weeks ago (where we are getting married) and when we went to Disney they sold gorgeous tiaras with swarovski crystals on for $70 which is about £45! I was shocked when I saw this and very nearly bought it while we were there! I'm just wondering if £180 is a decent price to pay for a tiara or should I wait until we go back for our final arrangements before the wedding?! My only worry in doing that is they might not have the one I want anymore and then it will be leaving it quite late. I defo love a bargain and now that I have seen one for £45 I don't really want to spend £180!! help lol xxx

    Hi Hun,

I have also seen some amazing Tiaras but they were all around the £200 mark. I refuse to pay that much I would rather put that kind of money on Flowers or something. Anyway have you looked a Deb**ams, or B*S they have some lovely one's. Also have a look at this web site ( posted on my wall) they have some nice ones too. But if the one in Disney is the one then you could call them and ask to them to save it for you until your next visit. Could you buy from them over the phone. You will need to get your dress first though just to make sure it matches.

    Good luck

Tiaras are quite expensive over here I've found but they are cheaper in general in China and the States - so if you saw one you loved, contact the store and see if you can buy it, then again you've over 2 years till your wedding so maybe keep your eyes peeled for any further bargains? I'm borrowing mine from a friend instead :-)

thanks :) with having over 2 years that's my worry! It might have gone by then and I doubt they will resever it for that long! Hopefully I'll find one just as nice and cheaper than £180!x

Hmmmm I suppose the price depends on the style and what you have on it???
If the one you want is £180 and you can afford it then go for it.
Ive seen one I liked in the bridal shop that was was £65 that I was going to get that had perarls crystals and silk roses on that i was going to get UNTIL I found a watch that I have fallen in love with :-)
Now the lady is making me necklace bracelet and tiara to match it so my tiara is costing me £55 custom made with freshwater pearls on!
Like I said it depends on what you want and where you get it hunni but if you can afford the more expensive ones then go for it after all this is a once in a lifetime event so why not???

thanks Shad I'll have a look, I really like them both so that's why I'm finding it hard to decide! I know the name of the shop as we bought a handmade glass slipper from there with crystals on so I can get in contact with them...I just wish I'd bought it while I was there! It will just have to be another excuse to go back before we get married lol x

£180 is a bit much, there are other places that do them cheaper but it does depend on what you want. Luckily i have no problems with any of mine or bridesmaids jewelry as i am making my own so will have the colours & style exactly as i want it. There are quite a lot of jewelry makers out there who could make one to your design & most are much cheaper than the shops. Try an online search for handmade tiara's, theres bound to be someone near you who could make one, just make sure you ask to see some of their work before you go ahead.

£180 !! Woaah I paid £15 for mine .... but saying that I didn't want a tiara and mil2b talked me into getting it - looks awesome one though :) I got mine from a jewellry stall in the market... (might sound tacky but it is well nice) I'll try and get some pics up for you.

in the same breath if you have £180 in your budget - go for it .. as the girls on here say 'your day your way'

    :D

i dont know the height and how built up you want but the one I have in my albulm I paid 130 for and it is genuine swarovski. I took it the bridal shop who said if they had that tiara then they would have charged more than I paid for it. I will put the website on your wall hun so you can take a look and if you type in the code aye2 I think it is then you get 10% off but I will have to check that code... I think I still have it in an email somwhere.
