I can't decide!!

As some of you know, Dorrz and I have moved things forward and are getting married in October this year (wahoooooo!) and having a small, intimate ceremony. I'd decided on a purple chinese dress as my favourite colour is purple. However, a patient's relative told me recently that it was bad luck for a bride to wear purple as it is associated with funeral colours :0(

HEEEEEELLPPPP! Now I don't know what to do! I still want the same style dress, but do I still go for the purple or choose emerald green. (Whenever I wear green, I always get loads of compliments) Pictures of the dresses are on my profile, would be greatful for any comments :0)

I've seen your purple dress Cakey, and it's b loody gorgeous. Ignore the superstitions - every country in the world has different ones any way!

And there's that rhyme that pretty much means that you're screwed whatever colour you pick.. May have to go find it, I know it's been posted before..

I think both dresses are gorgeous colours, pick which one you want to wear the most and feel the best in and ignore superstition. Colours mean different things all over the world so follow your gut x

Isay wear it if thats your fav colour. Besides its not that dark a purple so should'nt be classed as funeral colours.

I love the purple best ....cant say I associate purple with funerals I thought that was black lol....I was always told green was unlucky to wear at weddings so guess you cant win hun lol xxx

sweety wear what colour you want to,purple and green both look fab on a person with brown eyes (iv got brown eyes to lol) but go with what you want

I would go with purple honey!! I dont believe sill superstitions, there are so many that if you beleived them, you probably wouldnt wear any colour :P

Yep a Bride most certainly needs a pair of shoes so high of the heel she cannot walk in them and so has to take a errrrrrrrrrr 'reclining' position!

Lmao you two are filthy, in terms of purple dresses I know people who've had rainbow colours at funerals, and it used to be that you had a really impressive colour like purple, red, etc for weddings as it showed you where rich in medivalish times. I'm wearing darl purple and black (screw superstition) though I really do love emerald green but I could never pull it off
