Hello - we are getting married at half 12 then plan to have some drinks (bucks fizz and soft drinks) and snacks for guests whilst pictures are being done and people are mingling.... I am not sure what to serve I dont want to get in pros as it will make it quite dear - would a bit of a spread be ok? This is just to tide people over till half 4 when main meal is served... we could have canapes at our reception venue but they are pricey and apparently not great. Any ideas for easy tasty and reasonable food as we will be doing it ourselves...

I think a bit of spread would be fine, if people are hungry they will eat it but if they dont like it then they'll just have to wait for their meal x

You dont want anything too heavy like sandwiches as by the time the meal comes people will still feel full from them, but some small nibbles should be ok providing people dont eat too many of them! xxx

I'd just put on something light such as crisps, nuts, olives, japanese rice crackers and cheesy breadsticks type stuff. xx

iceland do good wee things as nibbles to tide you over. the chocolate strawberries etc mini prawn cocktail, sis just bought a load for the boys christening and they are tiny portions so the guests wont feel full xxx

Just something light because you don't want them to eat too much before the wedding breakfast xxx
