    Title says it all lol....

I bought a second hand dress and it had some stuborn stains on the train and a drink spillage on the front. After getting a few quotes from dry cleaners... for more than what i paid for the dress i did a bit research on cleaning it yourslef.

I put it in a warm bath first with some vanish and used dove soap on some of the stains and it got the drink stain out but not the dark ones on the train- they look like bloody tarmac or something! So, now my beautiful dress is now wrapped inside out inside of a white duvet cover on a handwash with lowest spin.... keep your fingers crossed girls!

Oh I'm so nervous for you!! But agree no point in paying more for cleaning. I do this with 'dry clean only' and hand wash items all the time and never had a problem, but this is nerve-wracking!! Good luck! Keep us posted! x

Future mrs mac, i just filled the bath with warm water, and put some vanish stuff in then layed it in there for about 2 hours, then where the tough stains were i rubbed with dove soap. The i turned it inside out and put it inside a duvet cover and put the machine on handwash and turned the spin down to 400.

Thank you raggedy anne, the one in my pictures isnt mine though mines ivory not pink i just stole them off google as they had the best photos lol.

Rosie i lovvvvvve the dress, it is totally flattering over the stomach. If i could marry the dress i would lol.

I only paid £220 for it so it was a risk but a good one xxx

its got what looks like coffee on the train! God knows how I have managed to get that on whilst trying it on....I never noticed it pre trying it on. Just tried it on again as in between buying the dress and now I have had a baby!! The dress fits (thank god) but now I have the mark....I think I might just try the bath bit, if I could position the dress so it all doesnt get wet it may just do the trick.....I will have a ponder lol. x
