I had one between 2 people and had no complaints about this and have to say I have never been to a wedding where I got my own. Not that many people tend to keep their OOS after the wedding but I did make sure I had one kept for myself after mine as a keepsake. xx

I was also wondering this as I have 17 kids coming so do I make them for them too? Some of them are not even old enough to read but I'm not sure where they will be sitting and we haven't got an usher as such to hand them out as people walk in. Maybe I will end up having to sort someone out to do this and hand them out. Do you think I should just make them for the adults?
CommentAuthorJilly17
I suppose it depends on how detailed you want to make them. I have produced printed pamphlets for weddings so guests could have one each and equally made massively detailed ones for couples to share which also worked well. I always recommended a few spare as people tend to give them to their kids to play with and ask someone to collect the spares at the end so they can be given back to guests who have forgotten to pick them up after the service!
CommentAuthorJilly17
If you have detailed ones I generally make spare printed pamphlets for the kids to mess about with (except babies of course!). Even if you dont have an usher as such you could just get someone to hand them out for you. I was at a massive posh wedding in Dublin and ended up handing them out as the usher and groom were sitting in the pub across the road and all the guests were milling around in the back of the church!!!

Xjox - I'm not making them for the kiddies - they can look at their parents! Boo - good idea - may get some arty students to make the table numbers (12 days of xmas!)
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
I'm making my table numbers with some card and ribbon to match the rest of my stuff.
CommentAuthorMinniemoocher
Ditto - think I might keep it easy and forget trying to draw the 12 days of xmas - stupid idea! elegant elegant - must remember that...lol
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
You could print them onto card if your printer is like mine and feeds from back to front as long as it isn't too thick. That way you could do whatever picture you wanted.
CommentAuthorMinniemoocher
good thinking....will have a dabble (I'm not good with arty things- may take a while)
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
If you need a hand and have an image I can always play around with it in photoshop to resize it, change colours, add text etc. It depends what you want really. If you have a design in mind it shouldn't be too hard to sort out.
CommentAuthorMinniemoocher
Thanks hon - I'll have a look at ideas and let you know if I get stuck :) - (which is v likely) - need to buy a good colour printer too
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
Your not that far away from me and I have one if you want to print them. I also get my inks paid for from the uni ;)
CommentAuthorMinniemoocher
ooh that's a bonus!! ...can't wangle that one at school. I'll have an experiment with ideas and see what I can come up with. Thanks for your kind offer :)
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
Its OK its not like it costs me anything. I'm just outside of Tamworth so its only half an hour down the road but we go up to his mums every week so could pop up with it too while we are up that way.
CommentAuthorrebeccalou21
not everyone need one, i would say one between2/3, dont hand them out just leave them on seats/pews, people should get the idea that they need to share lol
