I was wondering whether any of you tried an online shop to buy wedding rings. If so was it a good or bad experience? Would you recommend any websites?
Thank you :)

We used a company who advertise online. One of their reps came to the house and we tried on a load of different rings. Brilliant prices, and free gifts too. Let me know if you want the link

I looked into it, but didnt want to be disappointed. When I found a design I like I changed it slighly and had it custom made by a shop!
i didnt buy mine online but have seen some lovely ones but i really wanted to try it on as my engagment ring is too big and wanted to get the right size xx

Steve got my engagement ring online and he said he got a real bargain almost half the price in comparison to the high street! Unfortunately they don't do plain wedding bands so can't go back there!

We got ours from a company that advertises online but comes to your home. They brought over 200 rings with them for us to try on.................yes i had a fantastic time hehehe...........but we couldnt find a single ring that we liked as hard as that might seem with 200 to choose from lol. But we did like certain things from about 3 or 4 different rings, sooooooooo they are going to make the bits we like into one ring for us which im soooooooooo excited about hehehe. We paid the deposit to hold the price and then we just pay as and when w e want up to 8 weeks before we get married then they will make it and sent us them about 2 weeks before the wedding :-) They do work out more then we budgeted for them but as they are the main thing we keep after the day we thought it was worth the extra money.

we got ours from h samuels, we were tempted to buy them online, but its a good job that we didnt, as we didnt realise that with different thicknesses it made a big difference to the actual ring size, as the thicker ones were far too tight in the size i normally have so had to go for a larger ring x

Thinking about getting our rings from bay of e actually. High street jewellers are well too expensive for the quality that you get from most x

I used an online company where they came round with all of the rings.... i had a nightmare with them!!! they lost my hubby's ring, engraved it when it wasnt supossed to be and when it was sent out they put the wrong postcode and it went via surrey and my ring was too small .... not impressed but i know others on here have used the same site and had very good service. xx

I guess like with everything else it depends on each individual case, some companies can be bad with some, excellent with others. Hmmm...

After doing an extensive internet search and going in every shop in the Birmingham jewellery quarter we found that ours was cheapest in H Smauels and we asked for a discount and got 10% off each ring. On saying that we both wanted plain gold bands (super heavy weight) but if we had wanted a design it might have been different. To make sure you get value for money check the weight of gold you are getting for your money. Also if you want to save some money get a D shape rather than a court ring as it doesn't have as much gold in it but you can still get a good width band that is thick.
CommentAuthorConnie
Okay, that was kinda helpful, thanks XjoX :) We want platinum but im sure its the same principle with checking the weight etc. Just to very simple rings, D shape for me and Flat for H2B :) Also i guess looking in the january sales helps?
