Welcome to the site Wendy! Best of luck for all your planning, enjoy every moment of it. I don't really believe in labeling a bride for her age, each and everyone of us is a bride no matter our age. Being a part of this forum has made me realise that brides really do come in every shape size and age and we are all looking to plan our perfect day so I really wouldn't worry about it.
Welcome to the UKBride family Wendy. The last wedding I went to was a couple in their 60s, second time round for them both, and it was a beautiful day. She wore a white bridal gown and looked stunning, he wore a kilt as did his best man. They had loads of bridesmaids and page boys because of all their grandchildren. The wedding was in church, then we went to the church hall for the reception and a few ceilidh dances. I think they had something in the evening for family only. What surprised me was how anxious and nervous the bride was the night before, even though she'd done it all before.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
