Hi everyone,

So i am stressed...I need a venue/place where I can put my own marquee and use my own caterers!

This is super difficult, I am happy with a field, farm anything that can look pretty in pictures.

I live in essex so no more than a 2hr journey from there would be great!

any ideas would be much appreciated!!

Be careful before you rent any old field because the ground has to be leveled somewhat in order to be able to pitch a marquee.

Has the people you are hiring the marquee from got a list of potential pitch sites?

Otherwise would recommend rural cricket clubs or other places with sports pitches which can often be reasonably hired. Check your local council website in case they have any site hire info listed there. Good luck :)

Why do you want your own marquee? What about a venue with a permanent marquee erected but that allows external caterers? Or who can do the food you want?

The other thing is, if you have your own alcohol, are you planning on selling it as if you do you need to arrange for a temporary licence.

What is your budget as often marquees can work out quite costly as you need to ensure they have kitchen facilities, I've just done a quite search and there are loads of marque hire places round Essex so I would contact them for prices, or better still, use the quote facility on here, I've done that for quite a few local venues to get prices :-)
