my mum has a gorgeous Jaques Verts dress that she bought for my cousins wedding last year. she only wore it the once but it is really lovely. To make it more special for my wedding she is adding some black lace trim and some pearl sort of beads and having the neck line altered to either a scoop neck or a bit of a sweetheart neckline. Shes going to look gorgeous! x

my mum has just got hers from jaques vert they have clothes in debenhams and fenwicks she got a gorgeous dress they have a sale at the momwnt on her dress was 159 down to 89 bargain lol x

Ive just looked on the Jaques Vert site and seen a few nice things on there for her, shes 52 but a young 52 year old, very slim n petite!! Thanks girls!! Shes been looking at All saints as its her fav shop but nice to look around at others xx

Hi, yeah my mum got her outfit from Jaques Vert too...found it in their actual shop in the trafford centre. As it was expensive she went home to think about it for a few days, then we went back to see if i like it and found there was 20% off in debenhams and if she opened a store card, a further 10% so all in all 30% off buying it from debenhams! My mum was very happy with debenhams as she got a free cup of tea with her store card!!!! Mums!!!! Anyway she has now cancelled her store card, paid it off in full when the balance was due, good deal if you ask me! My mother in law to be has also got her outfit from Jaques Ver too...not seen hers yet but it seems to be the shop for weddings!

My mum and mil2b are going to have a similar problem. Mum is 56 (will be 57 by the wedding) and mil2b will be just shy of 60. Both are between 4'11" and 5' and both are.... larger ladies (MIL2B especially). My mum has already completely discounted wearing a hat because every single one she has ever tried on has slid down over her eyes and made her resemble a mushroom!
Both are also on massively tight budgets, so designer names are completely out!

On 21st April 2012 I will marry my best friend!

JV is good but can be awkward getting the right sizes in Debenhams we found, we did get a few online as they offer free return from the JV shop and so many online shops offer them.
Howeverin the end MOB decided JV was a little too old for her and on the heavy side (our wedding is in July and I am determind it will be sunny lol) so we hit the major cities shopping and found some lovely ones in Monsoon and only a 5th of the cost of JV.
We were hen able to slapsh out on shoes, hat, accessories etc and still ended up better off! But Mums best comment was that the dress was much lighter/cooler and better suited to the summer as her fear is being red in the face for all the pictures.

Yeah mums seen a few on Precis Petites, its fab for my mum with only been 5ft :) We went to the outlet in york yesterday n saw a lovely one in Hobbs but she wants to keep looking before she buys xx
