Ok, so ive finally booked a meeting with the venue for tomorrow lunchtime, but i dont have a clue what we need to ask/say!
The package we have gone for (weekday) includes: room hire for the day, 3 course meal and glass of wine each, cake stand and knife, basic table setup and decs (bud vases and candles), buffet and DJ, bridal suite for the night. Its actually a really good package (we went to the open day for a look around but didnt really have chance to talk to anyone). We have got a rough date in mind for September next year.
Are there any obvious or not so obvious questions i need to ask them? I dont want to go in there and have nothing to say or miss anything. But at the same time, i dont know what i should be asking!

Will they cater for diet issues? What are the payment arrangements (they'll probably tell you anyway). Any recommendations for suppliers?

I know they do offer vegetarian options. That one is already on my list to ask because a lot of the OH's family are vegetarians.

Minimum/maximum number of guests? Do guests get a cheaper rate? (Assuming as you get a bridal suite its a hotel?) How many guests you have to pay for buffet? (Our venue say we have to cater for 90% of buffet - some are 100%, some are flexible and may allow half)

Any restrictions? I've known some old manor house type venues to request ladies don't wear stilettos so as not to ruin the floor.

What are the menu options? Option to change the menu options? (we totally changed the canapes)

well the meeting went very well. I really didnt have to ask any questions, they gave me every detail i needed to know :). Date is booked!!! Rang the registrar and sorted that too. Thats it, we are getting married on the 24th September next year!!!!! EEEEKKK!!!!
