Okay so i've seen loads of pictures of brides wearing converse trainers for the evening reception to be comfy, and I think they look so funky!! I've seen the ones with swarovski crystals which I think are great but looking into it more I think I prefer the coloured ones with the ivory wedding dress. I'm 20 just now, will be 22 when I get married and h2b will be 25 so I'm hoping we're young enough to pull it off!! I want honest opinions, is it cool or awful? I'm scared that some older guests will thinking ive forgotten to change into my proper shoes hahaha. Anyway here's some pictures I like, I want honest opinions! I love the one of the bride and groom in matching yellow converse. I would love the same but in coral (to match my bridesmaids) and am trying to convince h2b to do it too! Thoughts????

I'm wearing pale pink converse at my reception! Tried to convince H2B to wear converse too but he won't...really happy for me to wear mine though as he knows I hate heels and most shoes destroy my feet! Our reception is quite informal so they shouldn't look too out of place! I'm also wearing wellies during some of our photographs as we're having them taking in the woods :-) my heels are for the church ceremony and first dance only I think!

Hahaha I'm sure they'd love it! When I told the woman in my dress shop that I was planning to wear flats (h2b's a short ass) she was totally confused as if that just wasn't the done thing! Wonder what she'd say if she knew I was gonna wear converse!! But yeah definitely try them on together to make sure it all goes together :) x

Think I will! I'm also really tempted to wear flats as I'm in the same situation with a short h2b..but know I would look a bit clumsy walking down the aisle in them so I'm looking for the lowest kitten heels I can find!

Love this idea - it's something I'm doing for my evening do too! As we are having a superhero theme to ours I'm looking at the superhero cons/vans as they are comfy - but also like the idea of ivory hightops with cadbury purple ribbon as laces x

I've been looking at them too, my h2b said no way for him, but I still might do. I hardly ever wear heels, if I ever do I am hobbling around for a cpl of days after so heels for ceremony and first dance then onto flats :-)
