I've just seen someone post about Lush products and I was wondering if there is anyone else who use Lush and if they would recommend it?

I use lush a lot, shower, bath stuff, and also some creams, It is a bit more expensive than other brands, but very good value, would totally recommend it
Soon to be Mrs Gary Doublé
Everything is now booked
Getting really stressed and excited now
I use their stuff for everything... I have the full skincare stuff (cleanser, toner, moisturiser) and also stopped using my foundation to try their colour supplements, so far I love it. It's all natural ingredients so it's not as harsh as other products. I'm also going to try their haircare and shower products now I've seen what their skincare range is like!
The stuff is reasonably priced as well, bit more expensive than things like Simple but much much cheaper than Clinique or Clarins! - I use the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser which is about £5 a pot, the Breath of Fresh Air toner which I think is about £6 a bottle and their Vanishing Cream moisturiser which is £15 so pricey, but it is the best smelling, feeling and just perfect moisturiser I have ever used and about a five pence size amount does your whole face so it lasts for AGES. Their colour supplements are £7 too, I use the super-pale Jackie Oates one - it leaves your skin so soft and dewy and doesnt cake on...it doesn't give the flat matte of most foundations but gives nice even coverage.

i use their bath bombs, face scrub, body scrub, hair mask, hair lightening shampoo bar, soap, bubble bars and creme angleis body lotion for my knees and elbows..i dont use their mosturiers face ones as they bring me out in spots... i like lush as theres no nasty chemicals and stuff lurking in them ... although the shop sometimes makes me feel very sick with the smell haha

Im thinking of giving it ago as it's not full of any perfumes or nasty stuff is it?? And that's my problem using other product's, I always find something I'm allergic too or just something my skin doesn't like!

Nope it's vegan/vegetarian, no chemicals, ethical trading and everything! It's very rare to have a reaction to Lush things because their stuff is so gentle.
Also, if you use their stuff, and take the little black pots back when you have collected 5, they give you a free face mask pot - I love the Cupcake one, it's all chocolatey and smells good enough to eat :p
The shop does smell a bit overpowering but once you get in there you get used to it and all the assistants are really friendly and helpful - they'll show you how to use everything, what would be best for your skin etc

generally when you change face products.. it does bring you out in spots and blemishes until your skin adapts as every skin product is slightly different... apparently all the lush products are edible as there are all natural..(maynot taste nice but all the ingredients are all edible!)

I'll have to go to the shop instead of ordering online then so they can advice me on the best stuff. I've got loads of No7 products and cost me a bomb so want to try and use it all up before starting something else. I find No7 is really good and my skins improved loads but it's still got nasties in and I think it's making the redness in my face worse!

I know they do croc, but I've changed loads of times and only had a couple of little spots, lush made me have a full on break out every time!! I love lush, speciallly the bath bombs, and snow fairy shower gels, just can't use the face stuff!

My skin was horrid when I first started using No7 and it's alot better now but it really stings when I use it and my face looks really red. I had an allergic reaction to a face cream the other week and it's left my skin really dry and if any of the No7 products go near the dry patches it feels like my face is on fire :-(

Just before I started using Lush, I was on the No7 range... most of my face was soft, smooth and glowing but the problem patches around my nose were as red, cracked and flaky as they had ever been and my chin was awful too, red and spotty and sore.
Now I only get spots when I'm coming up to my time of the month, the rest of the time my skin is wonderful :) With any skincare routine, you do have to keep on top of it or the results won't be as nice but I have no intention of ever stopping my Lush lovelies!
I know the Angels cleanser is edible, I'm pretty sure it has sugar crystals in it haha, accidentally gotten some in my mouth many a time and it never tastes anything other than sweet :P

hahaha silly maybe best not to tell him then...although if he's a sucker for edible things, you should get their lip scrub...it's sugar crystals, everytime you put it on, he can come take it off! Extra kisses :)

They do.... their wedding favours are smaller and more expensive than norm bath bombs though.... I enquired! Soo you're better off just buying the full sized stuff rather than the specific wedding favours!

Haha it might be expensive... there's WAY too much lovely stuff in there for any human female to withstand! h2b always has to drag me out when we go, I end up wanting to buy everything :P

I'm not sure I'd like my wedding venue smelling like the shop though. It is very over powering!

Personally for me if I'm going to be paying them kind of prices I would much rather use clinique than lush as they don't smell and do a good job. The smell of the shops really puts me off and makes me feel sick and I'm not into highly scented products.

LOL I can't actually go any where near the open door of either Lush or the Body Shop, because the smell gives me an instant headache, so I'm with you there Jo!!
"Of course I'm not wedding obsessed!!"
CommentAuthorLiz3yy
I used to be obsessed with Lush, to the point where OH had to intervene and put a stop to it! lol
I still use their bath bombs occassionally plus I like to try anything new they come up with. Luckily their nearest store to us is Southampton which is a good hours drive so that puts me off buying too much.
One item of theirs I do love is their body scrub bars, they used to (not sure if they still make it) one that was dark purple and smelt like Ribena. I used it in the shower alot and used to alarm OH with the colour it left the bathroom in!
Can't wait until the day I become Mrs. Johnson :)

I LOVE Lush! It's my favourite brand- pretty much everything I use is from either there or the Body Shop (I'm against animal testing and I'm a vegetarian, so I don't have to spend half my time reading the labels to find a leaping bunny logo or a Vegan Society label)
The only thing I don't use of theirs is their bath bombs... but that's because our house doesn't have a bathtub (my parents gutted the bathroom and replaced it with a shower cubicle). When h2b and I move into our flat, rest assured I will be buying bath bombs. Especially AvoBath and Karma- both smell gorgeous and are so lovely on aching muscles.
Unfortunately, when we move to Bedford, the closest Lush is Milton Keynes, a good half hour or so away. But I will brave the crazy roads to get my Lush fix.
Their Shampoo Bars are totally worth it- they range from £2-£5 a bar (the RetroLush tend to be more pricey) but they last at least 60-70 washes and they're so lovely. Godiva, Karma Comba and New are highly recommended.
