    Hi All,

I feel like all I ever do is ask questions....

My H2B and I are discussing wedding favors at the moment (along with everything else...) Anyway I love the idea of giving my day guests lottery tickets as favors, however what if they win big? I would be so jealous that they won on my wedding day...

I was thinking scratchcards so they cant win too much - is that just selfish haha -

H2B wants to show the lottery in the evening so we can all check our tickets - what is everyones thoughts?

nooooo! could you imagine if someone won the big 1 haha. i think it would cause a lot of trouble. the scratch cards are a good idea but then what if there are no winners??? plus you wouldnt want to keep a scratchcard as a keepsake

We were going to do this but like you wouldnt know what to do if someone won big lol
and like angelan says not much of a keepsake so maybe do some sort of poem to go with it that they can keep??
Ive seen some really nice lottery ticket holders around so the poem could go in there to keep.
Either is good, or maybe lottery for the men and scratch cards for the women??

I never thought of splitting it,thats not a bad idea, then they could win something either way but less chance of anyone winning big - was thinking scratchcards with a silver sixpence to go with it

I reckon if any of your day guests won a big amount, they would probably give you a lump of it anyway. i would if i were them anyway.

I read somewhere about a couple who gave out lottery tickets as favours. They asked the DJ to announce the winning numbers so that their guests could check their tickets. Someone had 6 numbers!!!
What they didn't mention for a while was that they had set someone up - copied down their numbers from their ticket and then read their numbers out instead of the actual winning numbers!! Very funny but I think I'd be gutted if it was me and I thought I'd won. Bet it was crazy!

Lol, I know... had a little snigger to myself when I read it though.
Think you'd have to pick the right person to play the joke on or it could go seriously pear shaped!

I think its a great idea and you shouldn't be upset if someone else has some good luck. After all just think what wedding pressie they would get you to say thank you.
