When we went to hotel for our meeting they said they can do a children's tables but we can't think of what to have on it. Their favours will be a little colouring book and pencils. Any ideas what to have on the kids table please ladies? Other half doesn't want bubbles so not sure what options we have :/ x

Urm off top of my head the main ones will range from 2-6yrs but will be few teens too but the'll likely be on phones but might be a few 7-10 yr olds. It's some thing for during the meal time and then kept out for evening. Was thinking some toy cars and dolls or something but not really sure what else would be good :/ don't really want to do sweets as will be eating the meal and have sweet table in evening x

when we spoke to our venue manager she suggested that our kids table have just a main course, then go have their own kids party with a hired kids entertainer. it saves them from getting bored, and it allows the parents to enjoy the rest of their meal without having to worry about their kids.
Im not sure about how I feel about this idea, or the costs implicated, but i thought id mention it just in case it could offer some help?
That sounds cool, but we are sitting kids with parents for the meal but the kids table is more of a table they can walk over to before the meal or in the evening as thought we might just have it for night time because of people not wanting their kids to move during the meal. So the kids won't be sat away from parents during meal more just a place they can get stuff from or play with things x

so could they have mini dress up stuff? nothing big, just like tiaras and hats for the boys maybe? Or cupcake decorating? I also read somewhere an idea about not using a normal table cloth for the kids table but a paper one that can be drawn on, so they can do their own graffiti tablecloth, or if this looks too messy then placemats which can be coloured in, a bit like at some restaurants that they get?A centrepiece bowl of lego so that can build stuff?
Im not sure if these are any use, but I thought id put them down for you!
I just cannot wait!!!!!!

Hi, I was debating having a children's table at my wedding but have now decided against this as most of the children coming are quite unruly so I thought it would be best for them to be with their parents lol. When I was having a childrens table I was going to have table cloths that you can colour and crayons, bubbles, disposable cameras, punch balloons (for outside only). Hope this helps xx

Yeah I have quite a few children coming and I thought about having a kids children but I agree with Kirstie that they might be better off with their parents and then they are responsible for them. Most of the kids coming to my wedding are quite young though, I think if they were older maybe around 8-10 it might be OK to seat them on their own table. I think its a good idea to have to have a kids area though for them to go to to play/colour etc. and I LOVE the idea of the centerpiece bowl of legos but I'd be worried they'd end up everywhere! I think board games and colouring, simple things that hopefully can't get too messy are good.

It's hard because I don't think small objects are good as there a few young ones. The table not for them to sit at as don't really want kids separate at meal time As think it's nice for them to sit with their parents and family. I might just have more colouring in in it for the evening as the day children will have colour books as favours Where as evening kids won't. I don't want too much on it as it will just end up all over the room and don't fancy slipping up in it haha. Might just do few cheap dolls and some cars so if they are struggling sat at the table they can bring a toy over to it x

Colouring books, or those etch a sketch things but smaller, you can pick them up cheap enough, nothing messy though like play dough or paint.
