My mum is desperate to go dress shopping so we are off for our first browse on Tuesday - it's 18momths until we get married is it too early?
I worry I may buy something and I'll hate it in 18 months time :-/

I got mine aboit 14 months before, it all depends on if you expect your size to change. I have been the same size for 8 years and dont plan on dieting so its not an issue. Have a good look around, you have time to try on lots of styles etc to make sure you find the perfect dress. For some people it takes a while, it took me 10mins (didnt stop me going to all other appointments that day and trying on about 40 dresses!)

I say go for it - you're under no pressure to purchase anything until closer to the time when you've had a chance to really think it over and if there's one dress above all others that after a while you still feel is 'the one' then go back, try it on again to make sure and then go ahead an buy it.

I got mine 18 months ago and it's worked out well because the store offered a no interest payment plan to help spread the cost. The cost is what swayed me to go so early x
I got my dress in November - 20 months before my wedding. I liked the dress when I seen it on a website and when I tried it on I just knew it was the one and there is no possibility of changing my mind which my h2b and bm's say I'm well known for lol. So if you see a dress and you just know it's the one go for it. x

I ordered mine 18 months before our wedding. I worried when I took it to the dressmaker I wouldnt like it but I still love it! U get the feeling when its the right one, when you've picked and ordered stop looking. Cant wait to wear it - 90 days to go now! X

I ordered mine months ago! Went for a browse, just to look, get a idea, an found the one!
Met June 2009 on my Birthday,Met again July 2009 and got
together, May 2010 Moved in,Jan 2011 got pregnant,
August 2011 Got our own place, 2011 Had our Baby Girl,
Dec 2011 Got engaged, July 2015 Getting married! Yay!

I bought mine almost 2 years ago and only set the date last month… I was too excited when we got engaged and ended up finding the one (and it was on sale too) so couldnt risk not getting it xx

Oh proposed in March 2013,dress was brought April 2013 :) I fell in love and was abit of a diva and HAD to have the dress!! Only another 6 months to go so I can actually wear it!! X

Nope, I'm going dress shopping in 2 weeks time. I've been to several dress shops and this a a re-visit to my favourite one so that I can try it on with shoes, underskirt, hair kinda done etc to get a true view :)
If all is good I'll be buying it there and then. I like to be organised.

I ordered mine about 20 months before the day, that way it gave me time to pay it off. Actually thinking about it, we had not even booked a date when I ordered it!!!! I did worry a few times when I saw other dresses thinking oooo I like that one, but all I did was look at a picture of my dress again and knew that was the one. I even ordered it after never trying it on, just from a pic on the internet and magazine.

I'm holding off ordering mine haha! I had a first try on in November and got all the prices for it, but I'm going to wait until the venue is 100% booked and everything is full on rolling before I buy it. Because of last time, when technically I should be getting married in 5 months, but we had a major problem, I'm waiting just because I don't want there is be another major set back and then have to wait longer to get married. x
