Because my hair is shoulder length I am thinking of getting hair extensions but have you seen the prices!!!!!!!

I dont know if there is a cheaper alternative?

Im wondering if any of you lovely ladies are thinking of the hair extension route and if you can help me with this?

    Thanks

Nope not getting extensions... just getting my hair trimmed regularly to keep it healthy etc. Hoping it will grow faster if in good condition.... and they don't need to cut off loads if it's done regularly! x

i wear clip in extensions quite a lot, and if you were to order the hair without the clips in (it comes on a weft about 6ft long), then buy the clips seperatley you can measure it out, sew the hair onto the clips ourself, and sew 2 rows of hair onto each clip, so you will get double the ammount of hair for the same ammount of clips if you get me, its easy enough to do and if you have thick hair it will blend in nicely without having loads of clips.
or, use a drawstring hair piece that you tighten over our own ponytail so your hairdresser can twist it up into a big updo which wil look like its all your own hair xx

Nope, I'm not changing anything like that. I'm not the type of person who would normally get extensions, infact I barely find the time to have my hair cut, so I am just going to stick to a little bit more pampered version of normality.

hi i will be wearing a full head of extentions as i do all the time anyway. The best quality hair weft or extentions i think is the Remy hair just look to see if it is Remy hair you are buying. I am very lucky as one of my ushers is a fantastic hairdresser and i wear cinderella hair or racoon hair extensions but i dont pay salon prices. xx

    Hi hun
If you are thinkin of having hair extensions then my advice is to buy clip in human hair extensions, if you have glued in ones the glue can really damage your hair and ones that are threaded into your hair have to be snipped out. (speaking from personal experience) clip in human hair is the best option, it doesnt ruin your hair and they can be styled to how you want then, dont go for synthetic hair as you cant put anything on it (like curling tongs or streightners) as they fry lol. Deffinatly opt for clip in human extensions. Hope my advice is helpful xx

My hair's grown tremendously in the last year! So I'm hoping that I won't need extensions, but if I do, I will go for clip ins because I love my clip in extensions!!! Although I can't seem to put them in properly myself, so I will need someone else to do it for me xxx

i was going to so decided to get them about 5 months ago to try and get used to them. i had the weaved in ones and cost be £100. they were done pretty badly tho so didnt go back. i then decided to get them taken out and was walking past somewhere when out shopping and popped in. they took them out for me and we got talking. she agreed that they were done badly and i got ripped of basically. she would have done it for £45!! some girl was having them done at the same time and they looked amazing!!
if you have the weaved in ones they dont use any glue so are better for your harit but i would suggest getting them a while before wedding so you can get used to them. i found it took a lot longer to dry and straighten my hair which drove me mad!! xx

I so wish I could figure out what to do with my hair. It's preying on my mind, because until I decide that, I can't finalise whether to have a veil and what sort of headpiece to wear (whether to have a tiara, side tiara, headband, etc).

I think it's because normally all I do with my hair is either stick it in a ponytail for the gym, or have it all down and straightened when I go out, and I'm useless at putting it up myself.

It's pretty fine, so I might have to use clip in extensions myself to thicken it up if I'm having a fancy up-do....

I had extensions which were plated into my own hair once - and they were fab looking, but word of warning if you have weak hair, when I took them out, all my hair that had extensions plated into it broke off at the point of the plating, so basically I lost half my hair's thickness (which wasn't alot to start with) in one go until those bits grew back. It was dead scary to see half my hair break off when I washed it after taking the extensions out!!!

I have very fine hair so I need extensions for long hair (unless the embarrassingly wide parting comes in fashion by August). I have some Babyliss clip-ins which can be styled, and they're brilliant.

Ive just had a full set put in. Ive been having them done for 9 years and i love them. I left them out for a year gto give my hair a break. If your wearing clip ins and wearing your hair curly and down, do a test run for a few hours. Im a hair dresser and ive seen this happen so many times with the cheaper clip ins, basically the curls drop out and your own hair remails curly and the extensions go back straight.
