my hairdresser has advised me to go for a full head set of extensions to giv it volume adn length, my hair is curly and fine. they do sets of hair extensions that yes are glued in but wont damage ur hair as they come out when u wash ur hair, apparantly teh shampoo dissolves the glue and they slide out! think itl cost me between £100 - £200 tho!! xxx

we fit together perfectly. . .like a jigsaw puzzle.

nuttynonnie so its gonna cost you £100-200 for some extensions that are just gona come out when you wash your hair?? that seems a lot or do you have to buy special shampoo?? which i spose is expensive too lol

yep it is alot of money i agree! i do tend to wear clip ins alot but the way i would love my hair on the day cant be done with clip ins as my hair is so fine u would see the clips. For about £400 - £500 i could have proper woven in or glued extensions that would last a few months adn get them topped up every few months. Trouble is iv been there done that and ended up with v fine hair with bald patches all over my scalp as they were pulling out my hair i was DEVASTATED. i wouldnt risk that happening again so iv decided on the wash out ones. il defo check out the prices for this in other salons tho and see if i can get a cheaper deal.

    xxx

I am having clip in hair extensions, my hair is past my shoulders, but i want an up-do, and i think hair extensions will give me a bit more volume.

I have bought a hair piece... not exactly clip on, its a hair net i put my natural hair up in a bun and the net goes over the bun held in place by 2 combs and then a drawstring underneath tightens it so its secure. Its incredibly comfy and on the day i will have ringlets down to just above my bum. Was £7 from a hair shop in luton.

I got remy hair extensions (microbead) in the summer on groupon for £100. I absolutely loved them but cant afford to get them done again at full price. They didnt ruin my hair at all and looked so natural!x

I do my own extensions if they're clipped in, if I want them for longer my sister sews them in as the glue is lethal to your hair if you don't do it properly :/ I used to work in a hair extension shop for years and I always warned people about the glue but the girls always wanted it and had their friends putting it in and then used to come to me with patches in their head because they had been impatient and pulled at it in frustration because they couldn't get it out. You can get remover but unless you or a friend have a lot of patience you will damage your hair, if a hairdresser does it they're generally better at applying the glue sensibly and not daubing it all over your hair shafts.

On a good note though, extensions can be lovely and I am most definitely having some! And a hairpiece or clip on pony tail is also a great idea. If you tie a nice bow or fancy bobble over the hairpiece as if it's your own ponytail no one will ever know, they are very realistic and secure and the synthetic ones are as cheap as a fiver and last at least a few weeks if you're kind to it :) also the prices above are shocking! The most I've paid to a professional hairdresser is £90, try a carribean hairdressers as weave extensions are an everyday occurrence there so it seems to be a lot cheaper than general places like Toni & guy x

I won't be having extensions as my hair is already down to the middle of my back. I just hope it stays in good condition up until the wedding as I've recently started having it highlighted again.

My work colleague always has hair extensions in though, sewn in ones, and they look very natural.

I have just below shoulderlength hair and I recently bought clip in extensions and as they were real hair, they were a small fortune!! (£60 + £20 for the case) :P but to me they were SO worth it, so I have decided I am gonna have them in on the day 'cause I just love having them in :) xx

I think I will need clip in extensions as my hair isn't going to be long enough as I want it all pinned up
