Wear what ever you like- don't let you age dictate it. Go to a bridal shop and find something you LOVE!

I am wary of going into bridal shops as the last one i went in with my daughter thought she was the bride. the woman in the shop was quite embarrassed and I didnt feel like she could be bothered. i just hope they are not all like that!

try to stick to your normal style dont try and conform be yourself! if you want a big fairytale dress go for it! its your day dont like anyone dictate. also if u really want a "kooky" style why not try monsoon they do some beautiful styles and colours that are very different without being "omg what is that"

If your style is kooky, go with kooky! There are loads of fabulous 'alternative' style wedding dresses you can go for. I'll stick a couple of sites on your wall :)

There are really nice shops out there.
Your age dosn't indicate what you should or shouldn't wear on your day. After all it is your day and you wear what is most comfortable for you.

If you want a mini topper then you wear a mini topper..

Your Day == Your Way!! :)

Hello Hun :) I'm an older bride too ( 42 this year ) I always wanted a 'proper' wedding dress etc .. although I was a bit worried I'd look an idiot or mutton dressed as lamb! But, I found a lovely local shop which is quite small and the woman who owns it is soo brilliant! she spent ages with me, and listened to my worries. I have bought a Veromia dress which is quite floaty and it's blush pink with tiny organza flowers scattered on it.
I say go with what you want to wear, be YOURSELF! ;) do some research and find a shop that can help you ... give them a ring first and get an idea of how helpful they would be. Good Luck x

    Hey Loz!

I am one of the older crew too .. I will be heading towards 42 on the BIG day..and talking re BIG ..my age and my dimensions where and are still an issue to content with - I really do think that at a certain age/size there are things you shouldn't wear. I can't think of anything worse looking like a over inflated frou frou bitto Mutton!

    hi
well l'm an OLDER!!! bride at 47yrs old and l'm going for the works!!
do you ever watch celebrity four weddings!!! if it's good enough for them then it's good enough for me..hell even if it wasn't good enough for them then it would still suit me lol
what to wear.. now l went for a col rather than white or ivory, but with a little top hat, the style l have chosen would go with a top hat, kinda 50's stlye l would say and they have plenty different style's in the shop's, if 40's are new 20's then 50's are new 30's so head high girl and go for it.. my son's grandad is getting married again and they both well over 50 good luck let's know how you get on
bet you don't look your age either mind you it's only a number!!! xxxxxxx

I'm having my dress made to design. You can take some pictures of clothing that you like and let someone design a dress for you with your input
