Ok, so after a conversation with Jessica29792 earlier talking about what we would do if we won the lottery, I thought I would start a thread just for a bit of fun :)
If I won the lottery, the first things I would do that spring to mind are..
- Phone work and say I'm NOT COMING BACK... EVER. - Buy a house. Nothing too flashy but big enough so that we would never have to move again and big enough for children when we have them and at least 2 dogs. Plenty of land and a big garden :) - Buy a car each for me and h2b. I would love an Aud1! - Go on a really long holiday! Would love to spend some time in the Maldives and then travel around the world visiting places we'd really like to go. Places that spring to mind are New York, Thailand, Mexico, Mauritius, Bora Bora! - Go on a huge shopping trip in Italy and visit all the designer shops in Milan.. Would buy one or two L0uis Vuitt0n handbags and a good few pairs of shoes!! - Give some to close family who need help paying off mortgages or whatever - Give some to close friends to do with it as they please - Invest in some sort of business. Either a wedding shop (has always been a dream of mine) or a dance school/venture of some kind (dance has always been a big part of my life)
What would you all do? Would you do anything differently for your wedding if you won the lottery? I would definitely keep our venue as we love it so much and have always wanted a more intimate wedding, but I would probably go crazy and buy a V3ra W4ng dress and some L0ub0utins or something!! xx

Ha this is something me and my mates have perfected lol
Firstly I would buy a 2 houses that mean something special to me and then pay off any mortgages for close family. We would then buy land and build a house as I'm quite fussy about stuff lol Next would be the cars and some hols for me and H2B and me and my mates and family. I would also give a percentage to charity as a lump sum and then help out during the year with funding or just volunteering. Also I would start a business as doing nothing but hols etc can lose it's sparkle :)
Somehow always connected , finally became friends .
Friends became soul mates :)

I would buy the house down the road from me, buy new cars, go on holiday. Also buy a restraunt for my other half And have everything I want for on my wedding day with budget not coming into it. Hello full size tardis and daleks, fireworks etc And have a killer honeymoon. And pay my mums back for all the money she's 'lent' us, SDI age can have a good old age.

If I won the lottery I would definitely call into my work and say "So long and thanks for all the fish!" - Pay off mortgage on house. - Drop pup off at the in-laws and OH and I will go travelling - Buy a house with a good amount of land and open up a dog retirement home. I hate seeing elderly dogs in kennels and would love to make their last few years warm and comfortable with room to roam and have a therapy pool for those with ailments.
Not sure what else I would do.

Aww love the dog retirement home idea. My h2b would love to do something like that x
Oh I'm gunna be disappointed that this isn't a reality after writing all my millionaire plans ha!
- cya later job ha! - I think I would keep the same venue but invite more people to the day - hire all the entertainment I wanted as we've had to decide between 'this or that' - buy a house, or land to build our own - buy me and OH a nice car each - have an amazingggg honeymoon - go on those holidays you've already wanted to go on, NYC, Vegas, Maldives etc! - have a major shopping spree! - bank the rest and possibly invest in something, not a clue what though!

I would clear all my debts and the debts for a close friend. Buy a big house in a nice area. Buy a new flute. Get a good car. Maybe buy or contribute to houses for my brothers. Give something to charity and to my church.
Victoria I've sometimes thought if I get to the point where I'm working from home, I would take in a couple of elderly dogs at a time and let them have their last few years in comfort. H2B isn't so comfortable with dogs that jump up, but with elderly ones that can't jump and are quite calm and quiet I think he'd be fine.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

- Buy a house, 4 or maybe 5 bedrooms (room for more kids lol) with lots of land, so I can have lots of cats! It'd have to be a big win, but I'd:
Give up work and open a cat sanctuary (also a crazy cat lady) Buy the house Buy houses for family members Have a couple of holidays Upgrade the wedding (the costs are spiralling out of control already)
Pretty easy to please I think!

Pay off the mortgage. book a long holiday. Have home improvements done whilst we are away that we just haven't been able to do. Look for a bigger house. During the holiday we would decide on what investments we want to make. Hire a maid on return from holiday to do shopping, cleaning and cooking!

Omg if I won the lottery I'd: (in no particular order)
Pay off all our debts, Hire an architect to design and build our dream house which would consist of a minimum of 10 massive bedrooms, enough for our existing children and all the many more I'd pop out with money not being an issue lol! It would be on a huge plot of land big enough to fit a side house for visiting family and friends, a livery yard as I've always dreamt of owning horses, an underground garage for our stash of cars we'd buy ranging from family cars, sports cars and ofc the all important limo haha! I'd go on regular ladies days out shopping in Paris and Italy etc and spa days. We'd give a little to family members who deserve it to do with it as they see fit. I'd upgrade my wedding to my dream venue and include everything that we can't afford atm. The sky would be the limit! Although I'd probably change the venue to our house as it would be even more awesome than my dream venue anyways lol! The honeymoon would be a minimum of two weeks in the Maldives with just me and my OH and then we'd take the kids to Disney Land/World for two weeks aswell too have a family honeymoon. I'd start my own charity for children in the uk who are living in modern day poverty, making sure their family get much needed support with food, clothing, day trips/holidays and paying for weekly activities of the child's choice such as dance classes, various sports etc so they don't miss out. I'd make regular monetary and food donations to food banks across the UK. I'd buy shares in C0ke C0la. I'd buy a huge plot of land to have low cost, fuel efficient housing built that would be to accommodate families from low income backgrounds, no druggies, problem neighbours etc!! There would be well maintained play parks and local amenities and community centres etc. Basically everything that the council's don't provide!
Some of these ideas are very close to my heart as I've never had a lot in my life and I'd love to be able too make a real difference to people in the situation we find ourselves in atm as even the smallest thing can make a big difference :D
Getting ready to marry my soul mate! :-D

I think we would probably book a holiday somewhere exotic. then when we came home because although it is great to be a millionaure it is also great to be sure to know there will always be an income we would start our own business and buy somw land and build a gorgeous house and then build a holiday park with lodges which would pay for them selves rather quickly :)
CommentAuthorSydnieH
I like this question. I would:
Pay off our mortgage on our current house and buy our dream house too - plenty of garden space etc. Take our kids to Disney Land Florida Pay off our wedding and have our dream honeymoon Pay off certain family members mortgages and gift them with some other stuff Buy myself and my partner our favourite cars, a Bentley (my H2B's) and an Aston Martin DB9 Start my own production company Put so much away for our kids when they're older Pay for private medial care in the best place possible and have more kids :)

-Pay off the mortgage -Buy a bigger house and rent this one out -Take my little family on the holiday of a lifetime -Treat my mum and in laws to something, a little holiday or something (I'd consider taking them on the holiday of a lifetime but wouldn't want to risk arguments :/) -Do loads of shopping -Quit work but look at doing something else like running a small business
CommentAuthorMrsC2bee
I'd buy our house of my parents then pay it off but alway pay off my parents and brothers houses and even oh sister houses and buy them all a house each or at least give deposits. Pay off the loans we have, pay for the wedding and would still budget and get a bargain like I do haha. Do a food shop and buy whatever I want n not worry about scrimping haha and by us some new appliances around the house, but astro turf on garden so never have to mow it, buy oh the car he wants and brand new rather than a dealer :) then pocket rest and carry on working ect and just using it when need to. That's if I had millions :)
CommentAuthorTicamis2be
Pay off my debts, buy a car, start a business (would love to run a pub and live above!) and then if theres anything left, buy a holiday home :)
