I've just been watching This Morning and they were showing a few wedding cakes one of which was an ice cream cake.

I have just googled them and can't believe how cheap they are!!

What do you think about this? Is it a bit of a silly idea?

I don't want one myself but wondered what other people thought

My fiancé would LOVE it, but it is silly. Perhaps as a second cake or groom's cake?

I think venues would hate it due to storage. It looked a little sad as the decorations had started to slide but nice as a novelty and much cheaper than a cart if someone really wanted to serve ice cream.

We're having the cart, so I'm making Grant a chocolate grooms' cake to look like a VW bus.

I think it's a silly idea too, I have no idea how it would work.

I'd much prefer an ice cream van to pop along lol

Yeah, a wedding I was at last week had one. It was just a normal ice cream van that drives the streets lol he pulled into her street one day and she asked him if she gave him £150 would he go to her wedding lol. So he did and that £150 covered up his travel costs, ice cream and ice lollies for 110 people and he stayed about 3 hours!

I would be terrified that it would melt lol
As the actuall cake id say no but as the grooms cake maybe.................we are having our cake as dessert so this would be a nice alternative!
